Default Bragging on my CSC trike

I have a 2009 Gold Wing with a CSC kit which I bought in 2012. I really like the looks of the CSC package versus the other makes. This is my first GW and first trike. I have a weak leg and when I first started looking at getting back into riding motorcycles I had not really considered 3 wheels. As I did my research I realized this might be the answer to stability and not having to worry about my leg giving out or being strong enough to support the bike and myself in adverse situations. Great decision on my part. No worries and all I have to do is enjoy the ride. Heartily recommend trikes for folks with health or balance issues. I always tell friends to look at triking before you have to versus after an event when you have might have to reap painful repercussions.

I purchased a 2005 Goldwing with a CSC conversion. That trike is one of the best most durable and dependable machines ever built. We rode it through the the Blue Ridge parkway, over to Virginia Beach and across the bay bridge tunnel. We then returned to Missouri and the following year we want to Eurika Springs, Arkansas. We totally love that trike.

I put 30,000 miles on my CSC Vantage kit in 3 years. Converted my Stratoliner 1900, and it was my Cadillac ride, that handled like a Corvette! Never had any problems with it, and damn, was it good looking! You will not regret this conversion!

    Default my csc conversion

My goldwing is 2007 I had converted in 2012 it had 45000 miles I now have 83000 miles I have been very pleased with my choice. It was converted by a honda dealer who has since gone out of business. They did a very poor job but being a retired mechanic I took it home and spent several hours correcting their mistakes. I used conversion instructions that I got on line from csc website. couldn"t be happier with the results

Default What do you like about your California Sidecar Trike?

My wife and I both have CSC trike conversions. I have the Kruze package on my Vulcan Voyager 1700 ABS and she has the Legend package on her Harley Sports 1200C. We love our trikes and ride all over to all motorcycle rallies. Best part is our yearly visit to the factory to have a safety check performed by their great technicians.

Default ‘04 Cobra on an ‘04GL1800

I After weighing all my options (having my current GL1800 triked, CSC vs. Roadsmith or. Hannigan), I chose a used Trike that Has always been a CSC trike since new. I really liked the rounded fender style of the early Cobra kits. With the low and wide stance, it reminded me of the old fat fender hot rod style that I have always been a big fan of. Couple that with a great independent rear end design that offers a comfortable ride that can still handle the Dragon at a good pace without issue, I have no doubt made the right choice.

Given that there have been some issues with the original driveshaft designs that plagued the early models, CSC finally got it figured out, and really knocked it out of the park on their latest upgrade that I installed last Spring (2017). It is now completely smooth and quiet at any speed. The latest design (2010) offers ease of servicing or replacing the automotive style U-joints in both ends of the driveshaft by allowing the rear drive unit to be adjusted forward and aft in order to make removing the driveshaft a snap. When the time comes for a replacement for this trike, I will seriously consider another CSC kit in the future.
If you don't have the time to do it right, then how are you going to find time to do it over?

As a two trike family I can attest to the joy our CSC trike kits have given us. My wife has a 2007 Harley FXST Custom build with the CSC Volusia kit. We had it installed 4 years ago and after 6 months found the only flaw we have ever had with it. A loose steering head lock screw created a less than desirable feel to the front end. After the excellent engineering staff at CSC found the problem and corrected it and have put 40,000 miles on her since without a single problem.

I have a 13 Ultra Classic Limited with the CSC Daytona kit installed 2 years ago. The CSC kits are flawless, they ride like a dream, and always command attention wherever we ride. Sometimes it gets a little hectic trying to explain various perks to our rides but we are always ready to point out what makes CSC units the best on the market for us.

I owned a Motor Trike Trog unit on a 95 Harley Ultra and have ridden Tri Glides, Roadsmith's, Lehman's and DFT's, but I can't wait to sit on my CSC saddle to put some serious miles on the odometer of my trike, it has the best ride of all.

From Daytona to Virginia Beach, from Hot Springs to St Louis, from New Orleans to Albuquerque our CSC Harleys know the roads and slip buy the miles like water over Snoqualmie Falls. I could have the BMW with a Hannigan kit but the looks and ride of our CSC give us more pleasure than we ever imagined.

Thanks Dwight and Will for producing the finest riding trikes money can buy. We will enjoy our trikes until we can't swing our legs over the saddle anymore!!! I would recommend CSC trikes, you will not be disappointed.

Default What Do You Like About Your California Sidecar Trike?

In May 2009, I sold my 2006 HD Streetglide and purchased a new Honda Goldwing. I did this knowing that if and when the time was right, I would convert the Goldwing into a trike. The Goldwing was well maintained and at the time had 97k miles on it. It still made economic sense to make a trike conversion versus buying a new or used trike.

Over 3 years ago, I realized it was time to build the trike conversion. I began a long hard look at the various trike manufacturers in my quest to understand all of the different aspects of each manufacture's kits.

I probably over thought the process, but I learned as much as possible before making the final decision. I set up spreadsheets to make comparing the different manufactures kits easier for me to understand.

I contacted five different trike kit manufacturers and read is much as possible from their websites and brochures. I read as much as possible here on the Trike Talk forums. The next step was to test ride the various manufactured kits installed on Goldwings. I did many test rides here in Florida, the Blue Ridge Pkwy.,North Carolina and in Georgia.

Once I completed all the test rides and fully understood the pros and cons of the five different manufactures kits, the decision making process progressed quickly. I was able to easily narrow the choice of manufacture down to one.

The easiest and most obvious choice for me, after completing all the research, was the CSC Viper kit by California SideCar. CSC spent a lot of phone and email time with me. They responded professionally, quickly and with a "solid good customer relationship" attitude.

I had the opportunity to speak with Dwight (in operations), Cassidy (in customer service) and Will (in tech support) on the Viper kits and their components. They were instrumental in helping me understand their product and all of the related accessories.

CSC manufactured and delivered the kit as originally scheduled on time.

I am extremely pleased how the finished product turned out. The trike handling and ride is exceptional.

CSC took care of my minor digital light strip warranty issue the same day I reported it. A replacement lightstrip was shipped to me in two days.

Overall, I am extremely happy for choosing CSC and without hesitation, would choose CSC again.

My wife and I have enjoyed our California Side Car conversion, which has been trouble-free, for the past eleven years. We made the decision to trike our 2003 Valkyrie, that we purchased new, when I began to have trouble with my knees.

At that time, I recalled seeing a California Side Car sometime around 1995 at a Honda Rally. I had been impressed because the drive shaft was straight, not off on an angle like other brands.

I went to a well-known trike shop in the area that had formerly been a Lehman dealer. They were eager to sell me one of the trikes they had on the floor and graciously offered to sell my Valkyrie on consignment. They explained they had never done a California Side Car conversion. After a couple of visits to the shop, they agreed to contact California Side Car and the rest is history.

We meet so many people in our travels who admire our trike and ask about the conversion. We are happy to share the positive experience we have had with it.

We can’t say enough about California Side Car and Bikes-N-Trikes in Boggstown, Indiana who did the conversion for us.

Default 1992 GL1500 with 2015 CSC Sport Conversion

Who would spend $15000 on triking a 25 year old bike? Me. Actually I had already completely restored the bike including Traxxion Dynamics forks which made the 1500 handle ubelievably nimble. The CSC conversion was done because I am 63 and had encountered a couple if scary incidents because of the weight of the bike at slow speeds.. The conversion exceeded my expectations. This one is painted to be unique. Everybody who sees it can't believe ts a 1992 because it looks new even though it has 110k miles. My wife and I now can enjoy continuing to ride in comfort without the stress of trying to handle a 1000 lb bike. Thanks CSC!

Riding my trike brings me great joy! The stress melts away as soon as the engine turns over. I love to ride so much it doesn't matter if it is a 30 mile ride or 300 mile ride just getting on the trike and moving forward let's me feel free at last!!

We had our 2012 Kawasaki Nomad 1700 triked in 2015 and had a matching Escapade trailer made at the same time. We absolutely love it! We get compliments on it wherever we go. The bodystyle perfectly compliments the motorcycles original design. And it rides and handles awesome with the independent suspension and the Power Trak rake kit, just like a three wheeled sports car. You guys at CSC really know how to build a trike! Thanks CSC!

Cool 2010 Honda Goldwing CSC Cobra Trike

My bride and i really like our CSC Cobra trike. We bought it used with only 8,000 or so miles on it 5-6 years ago. I can't ride a bike anymore as i have had way too many neck and back surgeries and a mini and major stroke. My right leg gives out without warning so riding a bike is a no-no. That is why we bought a trike.

We looked around for a long time and decided we want a CSC Trike.

We have done the driveshaft update to it and that really helped.

Also just got done with the Traxxion front springs and Rocky's Comfort Risers to the handlebars and that really helped the ride and handling.

If we ever update it will be for another CSC Trike as we really like CSC!

    Default CSC Broken Back Jack

Very sharp Cobra install! Love that color too!

BTW-Broken Back Jack, if you would be so kind to say why you like the CSC kit so much? Your perceptions of CSC Pro & Cons? I'm scheduled for installation in April.

I am waiting for response from Max @ Traxion on his front shock for the 2018 GW DCT Tour as I am leaning to having it installed when I have the CSC installed.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sandman1

We like the room for storing things and also the ride/handling. Rode other makers trikes and we both like the CSC Trikes better. Others might disagree but this one fit our needs! Also when email or calling CSC with questions, they are quick to get back to us and usually within an hour or 2.

The Traxxion front springs really made a difference on our 2010 and Rocky's Comfort Risers brought the handlebars up and in, so now i can fully use the backrest on our Goldwing!

It isn't the same Trike that we had before or should say so it seems. Those additions really helped the ride and handling.
