North East Rally

Hi All,

Last August I had the pleasure of tagging along with a nice group of folks during the Northeast Rally. I live in Torrington so it was great being able to meet everyone that Saturday and making the ride out through western Ct and into NY.

Although I was on a Vulcan two wheeler for the ride, I had been seriously considering a trike. Well the wife and I are now official trike owners and have been riding as much as we can, practicing, and looking forward to next spring and summer.

We were wondering if there is going to be another rally next year and where it might be held. If it comes back this way I would be happy to help with any arrangements or route planning. I get into the Sharon and Salisbury area often for work and also out into Eastern NY around Catskill and Windham where our RV is and there are some really nice roads out that way.

If there is anything I can do to help, please keep me in mind.

Hope this stirs up some interest. Like to hear from people that are interested in attending. We now have an official area, just above this post for just this sort of info. As soon as we decide we will post the location and registration info. Date will most likely be End of Aug. On or about the same time as 2013.

John, Now that I finally found Connecticut, someone wants to move it somewhere else? We look forward to next years rally, wherever it is (hopefully we can find it).

Me and the missus are in. Are they accepting reservations already? I would need to find out if any rooms are HC accessible. B&B's tend to have lots of stairs.

Was just looking up this Grey Ghost place. Seems very M/C friendly. Not only are all weekends in August now hosting riding clubs (from names listed), but if you look on Google Street View, they caught a bike parked out front with grey and pink cover on it.
Is a rate set up? Thinking of Thursday to head up. I see they have some 1st floor rooms.

Sorry, we cannot join this year, because I am determined to attend a rally at Canon City, CO. Wanted to go west last year and never made it. This year I'm staying focused, except for a spring Texas bluebonnet ride. <img src="images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" /> Hope everyone has a great time! We will rejoin in 2015.

I'm only seeing snippets here and there about next years rally, will there be an official post with all the info and is there a contact person to speak to at the hotel? There seemed to be a lot more information on the site on this past years rally or is it too early yet

I can see , on the Gray Ghost registration page on their web sight , that people are already registering.

Can't wait to see everyone. You southern people should try to form some sort of group. Maybe a meeting place. Looks like 10 trikes coming up from Md,,NJ, Penn area. Safety and fun in numbers.
