Okay, since the air is so bad from the wild fires here, I won't be riding for awhile. The Dyna Beads have shipped .... So, I decided to pull the rear wheels and remove the wheel weights and all the associated adhesive.
Jacked up the rear end (getting good at this) and pulled first the right rear wheel. Look what I found on the inside were you can't see too well.
As you can see, one weight was hanging by a tiny bit of the adhesive on the left of the picture of the weights. You can also see that one or maybe two weights had already come off completely on the right.
I used my Harbor Freight nylon pry tools and just barely touched the weights and they fell off. You can see not much of the adhesive was actually holding these weights on.
I used Goo Gone and the nylon tool to get the residue off.
Next came the left wheel.
Same procedure here, again not much adhesive actually attached to the wheel. More Goo Gone and nylon tool.
Next I did the front wheel. Didn't remove the wheel, just jacked up the front and rotated the wheel as needed to get the residue from the wheel weights off. The weights on the front wheel were attached a lot better. The adhesive was white and way more sticky than the weights on the rear. These were put on at the Honda shop. More like what I'm used to seeing. There was white gooey stuff on the weights I took off and the rim as well. Getting the white goo off was a lot more challenging and took about a half a spray bottle of goo gone and lots of rags.
I was so glad to be done and in lots of pain, I forgot to take pics of the front. Oh, why was I in pain??? When going from the right rear wheel to the left, I forgot the jack handle was sticking out the back of the trike between the two jack stand and yep, tripped over it. Landed on my new knee. Had a couple small cuts but kept working.
When I got all done, went inside and noticed this:
After cleaning up, I went into the hot tub for heat, now am laying with an ice bag on it ... will alternate heat and ice ... might have to break my surgeons heart and tell him what I did ....
