What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Got my tank lift on ,clutch adjusted,switched all three holes to lucas products and I am very very happy with the results.

Got my Chubby's installed but despite everything I was told and read I'm going to have to put a +4 clutch cable in. Tried everything possible but installing the stock cable left it stretched tighter than a "g" string on a banjo. Had to run the cable outside the fairing. Started out second guessing myself on my first ride with them but now that I've ridden them for a week I love 'em. Got my +4 in the mail so this weekend I've got a project...

Came home from work and my American Custom slip on mufflers were waiting for me. Got them installed, took a short ride tonight, my wife and I plan to go for a good ride tomorrow.

Started polishing the rear rims. Got one done before I had to get ready to go out. Will do the other one Friday. I will have to pull them off to do the inside. I am thinking of clear coating them then.

Finally got a picture of the new Freedom windscreen on the trike, notice how thick it is, there is no flexing at all even on the freeways.

I wanted a little storage and had to see why they say these do not fit. Cost was minimal to experiment. Day one I ordered 2 extra doors(57100099, 16.80). The pouches are 57400-06, 34.95. trim,trim,trim, stretch, fit, trim, etc. I'm thinking maybe a cupholder on the other side if some wants a left pouch.

Dropped it back off at the dealership for them to fix the stuff they did not fix last time it was there for warranty work.

(front brake lever does not activate brake lights, parking brake mechanism still broken, voltage regulator is acting like it's failing)

I conveyed, as politely as possible, they had to do the work correctly this time, as I do not have time to keep bringing it back for them to do the same thing over and over again.

There is nothing more aggravating than bringin' it back in for the same problem. I am so lucky to have an incredible Tech at the Dealer I bought the bike from {the reason I bought it at this dealer} We are planning on moving this summer and the thought of loosing this guy is killing me!! lol....Nothing better than a real Master Tech with no attitude and loves his job. Maybe I can adopt him and move him to Tennessee with me!!

Why do you lift the tank?

It helps to get more air across the engine for better cooling.

Lift tank air goes below tank instead of up over it in your face. Stops glasses dance at least slows it down and helps ability to clean rocker covers and best of all looks really nice get to see more of that Harley chrome. Ride safely and often fearless

Finally got around to removing the body on my 2011 and leveling it correctly where the factory installed it sagging to the left! Now is the time to ride!

I had a total knee replacement last Monday so I went out to garage and looked at it for awhile, Hopefully will be back in saddle in another 2/3 weeks pepper

Had both knees done, most important is the therapy. Makes the difference in bending the knee and not bending the knee. Good luck and quick recovery.

Did you do front and rear lifts? I'm curious that if you just do the front the fuel line will no longer be at the bottom of the tank.....but if you do both how does that effect the seat in the front....does it pinch you in a bit? I'm not a petite flower if ya know what I mean. Thanks - jc

I did the front and the back .It was 2 inch kit on mine and I had plenty of fuel line and wire slack.Mine is a 2010 and it worked out good it will mess with fuel gauge a bit but i used the computer and when it said 38 miles left i only put in three gallons .So now i'm going to run it to see how accurate it will be when the fuel light comes on. I did mine as I was at bike week and got tired of the same old same old look and it needed help staying cool when i was there so this will help. So today the old girl got new rear shoes and started to polish factory rear rims.

Stood in the shop looking at my tricycle thinking I need to install the +4 clutch cable and my tank lifts. Is a Harley, no matter which flavor you own, ever finished ? Thinking what I really need is a project manager......WAIT, I have a certificate hanging in my office that says "I'm a Certified Project Manager". So back to just thinking.

JC1300, I lifted front and back and I found that the back lift settled me in the seat in a more comfortable position and was more secure (less sliding) when cornering.

Well I cleaned about forty thousand bugs from Shiney's face and lowers today of course it is a labor of love. And that means we are burning fuel riding gotta love it. ride safely and often fearless
