Well took a nice ride Thursday with the progressive 444 shocks and it is a great improvement. No hard jolts or bottoming out like we had with stock air shocks. Wife and I rode back roads and places we have rode before but felt better after returning. Not sure yet about adjusting the setting, I did mount them upside down per instructions but did not try turning the adjustment after install. I set mine up on the second ring and it seams fine so far.

2003 Fast Black Honda Valkyrie with CSC
Change Coolant with Honda Silicate free Antifreeze,
Bleed and Replace fluid in both Clutch and Front Break Reservoirs and Lines.
Change Oil and Oil Filter (Rotella T6, 5-40 Synthetic Oil and a Purolator Pure One PL14610 with Chrome Oil Filter Cover).
Drain the Crankcase Breather Tube (*Dragon Drool).
Replace Speedometer Knob,
Install Kuryakyn Stiletto End Caps (Part No. #6249).
Replace & Install New Chrome Alternator Cover.

My son has a set if that is what is needed. I hope we do not have to adjust but I will see after a few more rides.

Be interesting to know should I decide to go that route. Hoping I don't have to. Riding solo as I do, I haven't the need for a lot of gear. 17 lbs total including extra pair of boots and rain gear gives me ten changes. I am most likely back home on the tenth day

Finally got around to installing the factory mufflers on the tri glide. When I traded in the Limited Low back the beginning of May, the dealer installed the Street Cannons from it on to the T-glide. Ditto the Ness Big Sucker. The silence is deafening ........... I really like it. In fact, I may deep six the Ness next .............. The less noise the better.

James did you put any pre load on the springs before you installed them? I put 3 full turns and am very satisfied with the out come.

Mine have 4 grooves in the body and I set mine at 2. I figured half way would be a good starting point and so far really pleased with the ride. Took another ride yesterday to Winstar casino for crab legs and a little slots. It is about 85 miles of Farm to market roads (FM51) and the ride is so much better. Even the railroad tracks felt smooth and some of the bumps that use to bottom the stock shocks were no problem. Thinking now of doing the front forks.

I pulled the new plugs i just put in Friday to put heat sink paste [Not Never-Seaze] on the threads ... I couldn't find my tube that i always keep in my tool box in Friday..So i put them in anyway .....

But it just so happen on Saturday i was going past a Radio Shack in PA. that was still opened but was closing its doors for good on Sunday and he had just one lonely tube sitting there on an empty shelf...

This morning I cleaned all the bugs off then did a little pm to her. Being a welder by trade(40 Yrs) and some experience in the machine shop I had fabricated a catch can for the head breathers. Last week I installed it and decided to check it today for oil. No oil but was full of a watery substance. Smell a little like very old gas. Was not sure what it was but I took it off for now. Anyone else had that with a catch can. Replaced the left tail/brake lite in the tour pac, two now in two weeks. 2 weeks ago I installed a tank lift that I made.

2013 Tri-Glide Anniversary Color

jeyoung, I have a "JAZ" Brand catch can mounted on my front left down tube (permanent) and it has a petcock at bottom and hose barb fittings on each side of the can with a filter mounted on top. I am running a hose from each head to the catch can and after a two day (600 - 700 mile) trip the wife and I took, I drained the catch can and got a watery/oily goo mess out of the catch can. Kinda like a light tan mix with the water separated from the goo. Looks pretty nasty and am really glad I went the route of the EBS and catch can in lieu of the little filters on the end of ONE hose.

The Trike also runs noticeably better without that stuff running through the TB!!

Thanks Rodger for the reply. Had me a little worried with the watery(??) stuff. think I will keep running it and install a petcock in the bottom like yours. Still would like to know what it is and if it is normal condensation or what.

Normal condensation from the combustion process....In the days before mandated PVC valves that mixture was just allowed to drain under engines to the pavement... The colder the engine oil the more it will drip... Till its burnt off...

Change the PVC valve to PCV valve.. My Dyslexia is working a little over time this Morning...

Put the stock long stem mirrors back on the trike. Aftermarket ones shook to much when riding. Next is to put the factory passenger boards back on. Again, the aftermarket ones just don't cut it. Paint has faded badly already on them and the rubber foot insert has both shrunk and cracked.

Took the rear bumper up to my servicing dealer for install this Saturday morning. Ordered a new timer cover from Joker Machine and a custom made seat cover.
