What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Installed DK's Thunder Torque Inserts this morning but couldn't go for a ride. It started raining with lightning and all kinds of wind, maybe tormorrow.

I had them on my 2011 Tri-Glide.....They worked like a charm......

Hiya Ebert, they are HD SE Street Canons with the Revolver end caps, no mods to them other than the TTI's.

Hello , thanks for the reply ! I just traded for a 2018 , had Rush slipons on my 2014 and considering something else ! I am wearing a helmet more and more and the noise resonance with a helmet on is a big problem , may just keep stock exhaust ! Ebert

Internet was slow last night , but I added Chrome bumper and tour pak luggage rack yesterday, plus discreet breather kit from DK , and Harley adjustable backrest ! Ebert

Replaced the battery today. What a PIA.

What is even worse is jump starting the trike in a campground, getting to the terminals without disconnecting the ECU.

I keep a jump starter and mini air compressor in the trunk. I have them attached to the inner wall with velcro. I wired a harness to the battery and ran it to under the side cover. I can pop the side cover off and jump the battery in 2 minutes. Keep in mind, you can not jump start thru the battery tender cable

I've wondered if you had a "Tender" cable you could plug in to each bike.....could you jump that way, using the tender hook-ups?

NO you can not jump start thru the tender cable. Most jump starters send too much current for the tender cable to handle, and you will melt them if not careful. You can purchase a much higher gauge plug like I did and wire it directly to the battery. Once complete you can use it as either the jump start cable or battery tender.

NO, a cable meant to let the tender be placed further away from the bike would reverse the positive and negative polarities if hooked between two bikes. A specially made cable that intentionally reversed the leads could be used to trickle charge one bike from another one, but not to extend the length of the regular charging leads. Don't try to start it that way. there would be way too much current drawn from the starter. Would blow the inline fuse on the pigtail(if it has one), or melt the pigtails, or could do damage to the electrical system.

Consitter had this happen to him awhile back.

Bill is right. My brother in law had the bright idea of trying to use a jump box hooked up to my tender cable. Fried it and smoke started coming up from under my dashboard! The auxiliary switches all got fried as a result.

Take my advice and don’t do it!

Being the trikes been on hold for a while, plugged in the tender. Don’t want to join the DB club.

I've used THIS to jump of my TG and my Softail...also helped a few trucks with dead batteries with it.
