70 degrees yesterday, so I rode mine. Going to be 70 today, so I plan to ride again

Sucks here. Bike stays in the garage. 80 yesterday, 40 w/spotty showers today. This way into Tuesday of next week.

Been working on it all week long in the afternoons and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Installed my wiring for my Sirius radio, my Garmin GPSr, and my charging link for my phone. Already had the RAM mounts installed. While I had the fairing off, also installed the oil Temp gauge and wiring and installed the new LED fog lamps that are mounted under the floorboards. Installed the Chrome fenderwell strips and mudflaps on the rear. New Freedom Shield Wimdshield to help keep the wind off the wife while she is with me. And of course, changed the oil and filter while at it. Let's see....I think that is about it....maybe!

Yesterday was a high of 74* and sunny, but I took Mary's truck to the shop instead of riding.

I had an eye doc appointment in the middle of the day and was not sure how my eyes would be for riding after they dilated them. Good thing I did...vision was not so great afterwards.

Eyes are all better now. High today is 53*, but am leaving for the shop shortly on the Tri-Glide!

Mary and I left the house today on the TG. It was sunny and 61*. We headed 70 miles north to visit some friends we have not seen in awhile.

About halfway there it turned cloudy, then foggy, and by the time we got there it was down to 51*.

Just got back awhile ago, and about halfway back it was back to sunny, and it was 64*.

Great time riding & visiting.

The trike is snug as a bug in a rug in the garage. Just sat out several tornadoes that passed just to the west of me. Sure am glad I have that ridge between my place and Grandview, TX

Finally got some work done on the triglide today. Put in the CB module and a set of lighted switches. As was previously noted here, the right side that has the ptt button had to be replaced and for about 60 more dollars, I bought both sides that's lighted. Only downside to it was a little more work changing out both sides. Also installed a chrome fairing vent insert while the fairing was off. Was very anxious to see if the CB would work without the radio flash. It works just fine. Strange how you read on here some need the flash others don't.

Dropped Black Bear (my Tri Glide) off at Warhorse Harley this afternoon to have a bunch of chrome accessories installed that I got for Christmas . I'll pick him up tomorrow.

Rode it to work in 37* temps, and am fixing to head home in the dark and 31* temp.

Lots of lights to help me see the critters.

Kevin, I have been told, while riding in a group, that it appears I don't have my lights on. 14 tri glide with no front light mods, I did adjust the lights when I installed the DK Comfort lift. Do the yellow running lights make a difference in the daylight? Jim

Last night and today I took a bunch of pics...posted below.

Specifically on the yellow film I have covering the running lights-yes, I think it makes them more visible during the day, helping me Be Seen better. The Stealth Driving Lights also are a big asset during the day (and night) helping me Be Seen better.

Bike pointed into the sun..the headlight is not much brighter (if any) than the chrome. But the yellow passing lights are still visible, and the Stealth Driving Lights very noticeable. Even the Turn Signals/Running Lights encircling the forks are visible.




Same set-up at night time. Not only am I very likely to Be Seen, but it really lights up the road to help me See. btw, all of these lights, and I never get high beam flashes, because none of these are blinding the oncoming traffic.





Here's a view from behind at night. Pretty sure anyone behind me is going to see me.

Plus, you can look in front of the Trike to see the nice spread of the headlight, passing lights, running lights and Stealth Driving Lights.

Installed the DK Customs Comfort Lift on our 2017 Tri Glide. The lift goes nicely with our Pro Action rear shocks .

Well, it was 40* when we got up this morning (mighty nippy for here in FL) so we pulled on the chaps and headed out to hook up with about 40 of our closest friends to ride 100 miles to go to lunch!

I wasn't sputtering yet, but it was getting close when I pulled into the gas station yesterday!

I still had a bit less than a quarter of a gallon.

A couple of years ago, riding with Mary, on our trip to Bella Coola, Canada...

I was sputtering as I rolled into the gas station.

My 6 gallon tank took 6.03 gallons. Since then I have been a bit more careful.
