Glad you got that done Bill. And I agree Devin is a most impressive young man. Very knowledgeable and a great innovator. He and Kevin make a great team. Safe travels home.

Hi Pat. Last week I ordered the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers through my dealer through Drag Specialties. Hopefully they'll be in in a week or so. So just wondering if you have any thoughts / insights / suggestions about the install. I've been assured by KW and others on various forums that I won't need switch wire extensions and that both the clutch and brake hydraulic lines will work as is. Hope that was the case for your install. Thanks!
Picked up the HD one today ... and it is exactly like the one I got for $0.30 except it was in a nice bag ... LOL.
For the good news ... Since I was "self isolating", I got to the parking lot, called them to tell them I was there to pick it up. They sent the motor clothes girl out to bring it to me. I had Kira, and had gotten off the trike to sit in they're chair. The motor clothes girl is totally into Kira and asked if she could bring her in to show the parts guy. I said sure.
She came back with her a couple minutes later and said, "She got so excited seeing, Doug, She P$$'d on him."
I told her, "That's what he gets for charging $15+ for a $0.30 washer." She laughed, then looked at me like maybe I was being serious ... I just smiled.
Good news ... we took the long way to the dealer and the long way back ... total time, 4 hours with the drive through bagel run ...

On my ride yesterday, I noticed the Avon front trike tire was making the humming again at around 58-69 mph. Called Avon and they are issuing a refund.
So while waiting for mom to be released from the hospital, I call the local Honda dealer (don't judge me, if I had a tire machine I'd do it myself, and I don't trust my local HD dealer anymore) and they are ordering the Dunlop Elite and will install it. Total cost, $205. They will also install the dynamic beads while mounting the tire.
I'm done with wondering when I'll get sung to ...
Not much today.....I did think about getting gas today but then i changed my mind , Maybe tomorrow ......

Installed the 2+2 Narrow Sweeps, then took a 100 mile test ride, think I'm going to like these, no more forward lean .
Changed the time in the radio from DST to EST.....And i didn't screw up any other settings.......Usually in the past when it came to change the time, I just sold the Trike it was easier for me to do it that way......

Had a nice 100 mile breakfast ride yesterday, today the bike went to the shop for the 25 K service. I found out the dealership is closing at 4 PM tomorrow so everyone can go vote, I thought that was a nice gesture.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...Holy Sh!t What a ride!
Hate to say it but i put my trike away till April. Oct set a new snowfall record of over 20inches so why pay the insurance. Time to head to deer camp
I was really having withdrawals, so very thankful for a warm (for November in Iowa) week. 72 degrees today and probably a couple more like that yet to come. Went for a little loop, a little over 100 miles. Smiled the whole time I think.
Finally got rid of the Avon AV91.
The more I messed with it, the more I would get used to the "hmmmmmmm" in the bars. Weird that it was only between 55 and 63 mph.
With Mom's issues, don't really have the time to mess with it, so, just got rid of it. Had the local Honda dealer (Shhhh ... don't tell anyone) order and install the Dunlop American Elite. Had them put 36# in it and 2oz of dyna beads.
Wasn't sure I'd be able to do a test ride. It was 21* when I left the house. I must be getting old .. with gloves and my heavy fleece jacket, with hood, I was pretty cold. An hour and a half later, it was 40*, and it felt comfortable ... LOL.
Took it out onto the highway (I70) and ran it up and down between 50 and 75 mph several times. Smooth as a baby's b$tt. I did miss the slightly more responsive steering, but, I liked the more comfortable ride from the front. As with everything in life, this too was a trade off.
I took the AV91 home and when I got it there, I took time to "look" at the inside. There were a couple of globs of what I think was the ATV RideOn the original installer (an indy dealer I used to trust) of the tire put in there . The globs were kinda hard, but, came off with just some gentle finger nail prying. The issue with the humming might be the globs.
I contacted Avon and told them I'd keep the AV91, thinking I'll clean it up real well and bag it in plastic, maybe try it again when this one wears out . But for now, I'm just gonna ride it when I can ...
Added these windshield trim LEDs.
Not today but on Sunday bride and I putjust over 200 miles on and a great Dinner across the street from Dubois Harley at the Dinner. Love it great ride and great company

Geez it only took Harley about three months to get the thing to the dealer. The backorder status just kept getting further and further stretched out. Glad it wasn't something 'important' but it does look better now that it matches my grips and brake pedal.
Bored silly with all this rain , So i broke down and cleaned and waxed the Tri-Glide...
I used the genuine Honda spray cleaner and wax that i had left over from when i had Hondas ....2008?...It was setting deep in a dark back corner of my garage, The can was almost dead and had an enlarge prostrate cause the cleaner just dibbled out, But it did a great job....But i'm now worried by using a Honda wax on a Harley will my warrantee be null and void ........
