My 13 Sporty IT was installed by my dealer? or the factory.
I put one on my 11T/G plus a pig tail for my heated jacked myself.

2019 Tri-Glide.......
My Sporty's on the left side under the side cover. The dealer replaced grommets on the side covers, said there was a recall because of covers falling off.Could be true for Big Twins also?
You can usually tell if who ever installed the plug has ever used one before. If you want it hidden from sight, you can do that later if you want. But the main thing is to make it usable & safe first !
Properly installed you might have to know where it is to find it. It doesn't have to show easily. But it might take an extra 60 seconds to do it right.

Can the Harley Factory installed battery connector be rerouted to hang out of site but easy to get to without taking off side cover...This is wired to main harness not just to battery post? So I wonder what is required to replace it? And maybe shouldn't be used for daily use? Hey I know this is petty but it's deep winter here and I got to goof off on this fourm because that's all I gots for my motorcycle fix...

Hap, they go directly to the battery. Also they are long enough to reach out either side with some left over. The main thing is to make it safe away from falling on the exhaust & usable at the same time. Very easy to do. Also be aware of the hot exhaust when you come off a ride & plug in. If that is the side you come out. Most do come out on the right side.
I keep mine plugged in all the time while parked.

My 13 Anniversary came with it...nothing was said about the dealer installing it.

when we bought our 2k13 last yr, I asked for them to install the pig tail. sales told me, "not necessary."
they install pig tails on all their bikes, new and used before they hit the sales floor. been using Deltran over 20 yrs, bikes and corvettes.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but my battery tender connection lost its connection. The battery tender works fine when installed directly to the battery. Is there a fuse somewhere on the cable? I can't find the wiring diagram in the service manual.
Thanks Gary

My 14 TG has a in line fuse on the positive side wrote about half way between the battery and the connection. You will need to follow the line from the connection in. Hope this helps
