West Jet... originally started up in Calgary, Alberta...still a major airline in Canada (with some stops in the U.S.) It is truly a remarkable corporate success story. I have heard/seen them do similar things in other Canadian cities, (Calgary being another). Knowing the airline, I don't doubt it. Every employee is a shareholder, so every employee cares about customer service and the airline's success, and it shows. I have flown on this airline and talked to the original CEO and his family...they are a great bunch. If I'd of bought shares when the company was first started up, I'd be a millionaire today (sadly I didn't).
It sure made a believer out of several people on that flight. I have seen a few reports on national news so they sure got a lot of attention. I think they did a fantastic job and all deserve a life size chocolate santa for themselves!
This is absolutely true. I fly WestJet (used to fly Air Canada - no more!) and on one flight the CEO and another high up in WestJet were on the flight. When the trolley was wheeled out to serve drinks and snacks, those 2 got up and took over and served all the passengers! They have an amazing attitude on that airline!
good to see a company making an effort for their customers, sure its a great publicity stunt, but it also benefits the end users. nice work westjet
I really liked that!!

,,,,,DAMN COOL,,,,,
we all have our faults .....others point them out to us......guess we know what theirs are
It certainly brought tears to my eyes, and not many things today do that.
Ever since WestJet started I have flown with them . I worked on a couple of their 737's when my old company got a contract for some refit work. Sure wished that I had been with the WestJet crew back then. They sure are a lot better carrier than our other major airline!!
