Went to the Progressive Insurance Motorcycle Show at the Suburban Showplace Collection in Novi Michigan yesterday. Saw lots of beautiful new bikes from all the major manufacturers. Lots of equipment manufacturers as well as safety gear could be seen. The one thing obviously missing were ALL of the trike manufacturers. I DID see ONE trike for sale from, I believe, Wolverine Harley Davidson from Clinton Township Mi. and one Hannigan chassis, not installed, at the Macomb Powersports Dealership from Chesterfield Mi.
SO WHAT GIVES???
If the trike CRAZE is becoming so popular, why, at a major event like this, are the manufacturers not in attendance? I looked on the master list of vendors and never saw any trike manufacturers listed as being in attendance.
As we were looking at the Hannigan kit on the floor, the salesman was offering to allow a lady to carefully to sit on a customers trike they had in their display. So, as the salesman was pre occupied with the lady on the trike, I started answering questions of another customer inquiring about the trike kit! Not detail specific, but general info questions about "how is the kit attached to the bike" and things like that! I COULD DO THIS!! Any and all of the manufacturers that we are so fortunate to have supporting our site, why wouldn't you have a display at a major show like this? There were/are many people that wouldn't consider purchasing a trike, these folks say, wow "I didn't know (insert bike mfgr. here) made trikes", people that don't want to weld on their bike, people that are somewhat mis/un informed about triking.
These folks are potential customers and sales for you. Look on our site, look on the Goldwing docs site, there are scads of people that have the money to have they're bikes repaired, asking questions of guys that are fortunate enough to be somewhat mechanically inclined that fix they're own bikes. While the websites are great sales tools, touching, feeling, SMELLING the kit and actually sitting on one can go a great distance in convincing someone that this could be right for them!
Have a husband/wife team, talking to a couple about the security of not worrying about the driver's leg not being able to support you at the next stop light! Oh yeah, now mention that with a little extra investment, the Mrs. can now take the kitchen sink with her on the trip, because, you can pull a nice trailer behind you with plenty of storage capacity! Would you want a non-salesman, possibly mis-informed, talking about your product to many people with ears and wallets wide open? Like I mentioned earlier in the post, I CAN DO THIS!!!

I was there and noticed that trike kit you mentioned just sitting there. I stopped to look at it and a few others did to. I saw a used Harley trike for sale. I also really looked over the New Harley Trike on display at Harley. I was impressed and there was a Harley Rep there that showed us all the bells and cool on the trike. Very Popular display I think....
I think I want one.

Do you trust your insurance company? Auto insurance is a necessity for many drivers. However, some companies are not following the given terms to their customers. Take for instance, Matt Fisher, the brother of a girl who was killed in a car accident. On his Tumblr, he wrote a story about the well-advertised insurance group that refused to pay a legal claim for $75,000. The post caused an online backlash against Progressive Insurance.
