We got 2 1/2 inches of snow, second time in less than a week. Central Louisiana isn't supposed to be like this.

Just another day in Atlanta...
Man I'm glad I'm retired!
All the snow covered roads have frozen over. People stranded on the expressway for 5 to 6 hours are now walking away from their cars. Some schools have kids stranded and they will be sleeping over at the schools tonight.

I agree 100%. Never try and go out if there's any kind of ice condition. Snow never bothered me. You have some control when driving in snow. With ice there's no control at all.Ice ain't no Joke...

14° this morning so nothing is going to melt. At least there is hope for the weekend, forecast is 60° on Saturday and 65° on Sunday.

Southern Michigan is cold (5*now) but is ice free at least. Plenty of snow on the ground but none since Monday. Global warming is tough hey?

I lived in Georgia for 4 years and the biggest problem southerners have with northern weather is that they are totally unprepared for it. The drivers don't know how to drive in those conditions and the street crews don't have the equipment or supplies to deal with it. It's the old fish out of water kind of thing. There was a light snow fall once that created conditions that nobody in Ohio would have bat an eye at and it brought towns and businesses to a halt and it was because they didn't have a clue or the means to handle it. Does anyone in Louisiana or Florida even know how to shovel snow? Can they even get a snow shovel or a blower?

Well, it's 1:40 and it is still only 25 degrees.

The low tonight is suppose to be 21.
It gets up to 45 tomorrow.. that means melting is around the corner.

Who'd thought an ice storm would keep me from riding in SW Florida!!! Parts for my trike were parked on the interstate in the middle of Atlanta!!! I'll have them tomorrow and will be riding in 83 degree weather on Sunday!!!

Who says you can't drive on ice?
You just have to learn to:
Accelerate without using the gas.
Stop without using the brakes.
Steer without using the steering wheel.
In other words, all things lightly. On ice, brakes are NOT your friend.
