hello..Bob here from North Carolina...last week I wiped out (fortunately on grass with very soft and wet earth underneath) and did not harm the bike once I cleaned it up, and have a bruised rib or two and embarrassed for taking a curve too fast...This prompted me to buy a trike which I am picking up Monday about a hundred miles from me..it is a 2007 Yamaha Vstar 650 Silverado equipped with a voyager kit with big wheels and the bike has just 2800 miles on it...like new....I am a 1936 model and if I make it I'll turn 80 in 2016. I won't be doing any travelling with this trike. I am sad to say my wife of 58 years is in the rest home from a stroke and I go to see her daily, sometimes up to three times (mealtimes)...I have ladies come in and visit with her four night a week so I can some time off..I have been doing this since 2007. She had a terrible stroke in 2005 and I kept her at home for two years and then had a heart attack...she cannot speak or move her right side....she is very alert though.
I presently have four bikes counting the trike...two of the others are Honda cruisers and one is a 98 Kawa voyager XII....that's the one I wiped out on...probably will sell one of the Hondas if for no other reason than making room in the garage....My fave bike of all time is my 94 Honda Magna 750 with a V4 engine and 87 horsepower...it is smooth as glass and has an amazing power band...
Anyway, I tried out a low mileage BMW 1200KT true trike but did not feel I could justify paying north of $20K for it, seeing as how I don't have time to do serious travelling....It was like new.. still on Charlotte nc craigslist.
Sincerely,
Bob
