Hello Trike Talk - I'm Deb and I'm in South Florida. I'm restoring my dad's home made Volkswagen trike, born 1982 I believe. I inherited it and can't wait to get it back on the road ! Came here to talk with other trike builders for help and advice ! Yup, gettin' into the grease and trying to do most of it all by myself. My dad was a mechanic and I guess I got that girlie-mechanically- inclination from him !! He passed about 3 years ago and I was given the Trike about 5 years ago. Didn't spend enough time with him and the Trike...sure wish I had now ! So thanks in advance for all who throw in their 2 cents and choose to help a girl out ! Have a GREAT day ! ~Deb

Hello Deb and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. Several people on this site have either built or are in various stages of building VW trikes. And there is a section devoted just to those trikes, but if you have questions don't hesitate. It looks like you have a decent start, and not knowing your mechanical abilities but we can generally work with ALMOST anyone. Good luck.

Thanks ! I KNOW he's proud of me !!?? I don't know where this is all coming from, so I can only guess he's here with me !! Can't wait to get it back on the road. JUST ordered the Brake conversion kit --- SOOOO excited !
