How many miles can Goldwing Trikes last?

Wings last forever if you take care of them. As for a trike, same as a car components, take care of them and they will last. I am sure you will have to replace components like a car because they wear, but overall the basic unit should last you for years. Do not ignore the schedule maintenance on your trike, do it and you will be happy with the results.
The flat four engine is like a Subaru engine which will last. I read some wings have over 250,000 miles on them and they are still running strong!
My thoughts.

MMH, I did a significant amount or research when I chose the brand of my Trike (6 years ago) and chose the Honda Gold Wing over all others. I found GW's had power to spare and were designed for longevity and minimal maintenance (so says the original design team in Japan circa 1970's). But like all well desinged mechanical devices, proper maintenance is a must and will allow them to last forever. As long as all of the wear parts are available and it is maintained by knowledgeable people you will have no problem with a Gold Wing.

:wave4:,,,Let me weigh in as a member that's never owned one . I do have friends with a ton of miles on 'em , seems as already been mentioned they go on and on .

Even though I've never owned one I have made the statement it's the best motorcycle on the road ,,,,IMO ,,,am I going to buy one , no but to each his own . ,,,,JUST MY TWO CENTS ,,,,,:D:)

I know of two fellow GL1800 owners that have over 438,000 and 424,000 miles on their bikes. I had over 176,000 on my last trike and they were all "trike" miles. These are great machines that we have and they appear that they will serve us all for many years allowing us many miles to the smiles.

I read some where on this site that a GoldWing engineer told them the engine was designed to last 500k. There are even a few in Museums with 1,000,000 in two wheel configuration.

I'm lovin' this thread, makes me feel good that my RS/GW will give me so many fun miles and probably outlast me. Now, if I could only get this thing to give me more that 34 and change mpg, but that ain't gonna happen, nothing's perfect and the price I pay for the ride.
