Do these GW Trikes last over 200K miles with proper maintenance?
Do these GW Trikes last over 200K miles with proper maintenance?
I know of some Wings that have over 3 on them.
Hope so ...... That means I've got another hundred or so to go! perhaps more ..
... Made the journey (from 2 to 3 wheels) now enjoying the ride ...

Ride safe..........Enjoy
I'm only at 42,000. This trike will definitely out last me!
Wings last forever if you take care of them. As for a trike, same as a car components, take care of them and they will last. I am sure you will have to replace components like a car because they wear, but overall the basic unit should last you for years. Do not ignore the schedule maintenance on your trike, do it and you will be happy with the results.
The flat four engine is like a Subaru engine which will last. I read some wings have over 250,000 miles on them and they are still running strong!
My thoughts.

I'm with the others in this post, the GW will last you for many, many miles with maintenance.
I agree with the rest, there are a lot of Wings out there with bucket loads of miles on them.

Red Ultra Powered By Head-Quarters 120, Easy Clutch Pull By ClutchWIZ. 2012 GL1800 Hannigan. I've yet to ride a stock Harley which wasn't in need of a mechanical intervention.
I'm hoping mine outlasts me!
MMH, I did a significant amount or research when I chose the brand of my Trike (6 years ago) and chose the Honda Gold Wing over all others. I found GW's had power to spare and were designed for longevity and minimal maintenance (so says the original design team in Japan circa 1970's). But like all well desinged mechanical devices, proper maintenance is a must and will allow them to last forever. As long as all of the wear parts are available and it is maintained by knowledgeable people you will have no problem with a Gold Wing.

we all have our faults .....others point them out to us......guess we know what theirs are
I read some where on this site that a GoldWing engineer told them the engine was designed to last 500k. There are even a few in Museums with 1,000,000 in two wheel configuration.
I'm lovin' this thread, makes me feel good that my RS/GW will give me so many fun miles and probably outlast me. Now, if I could only get this thing to give me more that 34 and change mpg, but that ain't gonna happen, nothing's perfect and the price I pay for the ride.
