Looking to plan a 3-5 day ride with momma this summer. We live in central California. Thinking we might want to head north toward Oregon. Any suggestions?

Hello, last year we went to bear tooth and Yellowstone. Bear tooth highway is by far the best ride, so beautiful!!
Big Blue: We reside in Auburn California Just up the road from you maybe an hour or so. Anyway I would suggest riding through Lassen National park stay over night in Burney and visit Bruney Falls the following morning then on to Crater Lake in Oregon. You both might want to check out Grants Pass Oregon and try a Hellsgate boat excursion, we found it to be well worth the bucks for the lunch ride. Then on your way back down Interstate #5 black top, stop in at Red Bluff or it might be Redding to take a walk over the Sun Dial bridge.. I'm sure this can be done in a leasurley 4 to 5 days.. Check the net for more info.......Have fun and enjoy what ever you decided on..
Heya Papa, just FYI we took your advice, kinda. Did the Lassen thing and Gurney falls.... but just stayed around Lassen area. We went on alot of hikes (Bumpass Hell kicked my 325 lb. fat ass!). Made Manzanita Lake our HQ. Had a great time! Thanks for the suggestion

Mt Lassen area is a fun place and a great ride, glad you enjoyed it.. Try some of the other locations I suggested, don't think you would be disappointed, as a matter of fact Crater Lake is outstanding..
By the way I'm trying to get a trike riding group together up in the Sacramento area, just to eat and ride on occasions. No dues No clubs nothing like that, just some trikers getting together and having some fun. I realize it's about an hour and a half or so from your area but if your interested or know of any other trikers that would be interested keep me posted and I'll stick ya on my e-mailing list. Take care
Two years ago we rode from San Francisco up Hwy 1 to Hwy 101 at Leggett. Continued to Eureka and spent the night in Crescent City. Next day rode to Coos Bay, OR. Across Hwy 42 to Roseburg then across 138 to Crater Lake. Some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen. From Crater Lake we headed to Bend and spent the night before heading East to Yellowstone. I can't wait to do this on the trike instead of my Ultra. That and taking twice the time so we can enjoy thing more.
