Over the winter, I installed a chain tensioner, a 1+ clutch kit, a 480 spring, a clutch wiz, an oil temp gauge, Wards fans and xieds.
We rode down toward the Smoky Mountains (Pigeon Forge) and got caught in the Rod Run traffic. The traffic was horrible, about a car-length in 5 minutes. The ambient temp was about 77 degrees. The Wards fans worked flawlessly. Riding on the open road, the oil temp ran about 190 - 210 degrees. In traffic, the oil temperature ran about 235 - 240 degrees. It never got hot enough for the parade mode to switch on.
The clutch was great, no jerking, no shuddering. It was still a bit hard on old hands in the traffic, so I shifted into neutral a lot.
All said, I'm glad I did the mods.
