    Default Handlebar Risers

Folks I am usually late getting the message, but I put a set of MBL risers on Pearl II yesterday. Although I only got to ride about a 100 miles and it was pouring rain they make a big difference. The one I used are UP,BACK,and IN. No cables to change. Little over an hour to install. RIDE SAFE

Can you post a picture of the risers? How much did they move the HB's back, and how much higher? Thanks

I just installed set backs (risers) on my new trike Saturday. Had them on my last trike. They are great since most of the work of steering is push and pull, not lean and countersteering like 2 wheelers. They only run about $65.00 and doesn't take much time.

My brother in law wanted handbars that set back and it cost him $800.00 for bars, cables and Harley labor for his Triglide. Glad mine was easier and cheaper.

I am curious as to why you got the MLB rather than the Kuryakyn.
I need to put risers on mine to bring the bars up and toward me a little.

I too have the MLB risers.
After asking and doing some searching here and elsewhere most liked them better then the Kury risers.
I for one am not sorry I went with the MLBs.
They alone are the one reason I kept the trike.
It made the Wing rideable for me.
    2 sizes to chose from.
They will bring the bars up, back and in.
Reducing all the strain on ones shoulders.
At least they did for me.

The MLB 's can only go on one way.

I don't remember the exact dimensions but I am sure you can get them from MBL.

My MBL risers have made a tremendous difference in the way I navigate the roadways. Wish I had installed them a year ago. No more aches or mid-back pain...arms are slack and in the relaxed position. I no longer have to 'reach and strain' when turning the bike sharply at slow speeds. Best investment since the purchase of my Goldwing/RoadSmith Trike.

I already have REG risers from my other (2 wheel) Gl1800. They are the adjustable style. I was thinking about adding them to the trike. Has anyone tried this brand on their GL1800? What are your opinions on them, and how do you have them set up? I am 5' - 7" and need the bars up and back a little. Feels as if I am reaching down too much since the 4.5 rake was installed.
If you don't have the time to do it right, then how are you going to find time to do it over?

That is exactly why I installed the set of MBL risers I did. Not that the ones you have won't work but the MBLs did exactly what you are wanting to do and they were really pretty easy to install. You'll LOVE them!!!!

I'm the same height as you and I have the Regular MBL risers. I had them moved from my 2 wheel GL1800 to my trike and they fit me like a glove.

Well, I just did a side by side comparison of the REG risers vs. the MBL's. It appears that they are near identical with the exception that the REG's have a slot so that the bar ends can be made wider or narrower than stock. I'm going to go ahead and use the REG's that I already have. No point in buying the MBL's if they are going to do basically the same thing.

I agree.... No need to spend money just for the sake of spending it. I bet you'll be plenty happy with the results. Getting the grips up and in sure makes life a lot more comfortable for me. Use the position that pulls the grips to the narrow position. You'll really like that. ENJOY !

I have a 2012 CSC (Viper) with 10,000 miles. I am 6' 1", 215 lbs and have numbness in my right hand when riding for long periods. The stock handle bars were just not the right height. I had MBL Risers installed and they have made quite the difference. I still get the numbness but not as severe now. My next purchase will be another seat, maybe a Mustang seat as I cannot sit comfortable enough and stretch my legs out because of the fairings which are wider than previous years. Sitting down 1 inch and back an inch or so hopefully will make my riding more enjoyable.

It would seem that if a Wing trike is raked then the handlebars are already shoved back an inch or so. Do handlebar risers improve a raked kit's handling??

I think it does since all Trike steering is "push and pull". The closer the handlebars the easier the steering and less strain on the back.

Handlebars remain at the same location on "most" Raked Trees....."Most" Raked Trees are bored for the Fork Tubes at the desired angle, with the Trees themselves remaining stock, and retaining 0 degrees on the steering stem......
