Happy Thanksgiving, all.

I've been lurking and going through old threads in the Forums for about a week. Great resource! Thanks to all who have taken the time to share their expertise and experience -- this is no doubt the most informative and entertaining website I've been to as I've been educating myself about trikes.

I'm still in the planning stages right now -- trying to learn enough to make some good decisions. I'll post some specific questions over in the Harley section in a bit.

In the meantime, I'm Steve, my wife is Bette; we're both "fifty-something". I'm still working and will be for a few more years. Both prior Navy -- me 29 years (9 active, 20 reserve; picked up a commission along the way, hence the "oldmustang" -- that was also the day I say the fun stopped ; my lovely bride was an emergency room Corpsman for a hitch). No kids. We're pretty much free spirits -- with a mortgage, and car payments. . .

We've been accused of not being a very "technical" site, but more of a "fun" site. Id have to disagree and say we are both. If you do a search of the site on most any subject you can get answers to almost any technical or practical question you may have. The site is full of great information. Welcome aboard!

PS- My son is stationed at Whidbey Island , WA and just completed a tour on the USS Ronald Reagan. Hes an AT on the Prowlers and soon to be the Super Hornets.

Thanks for the welcome. Katfish -- I can confuse myself pretty good as it is, but the more the merrier.

Bazooka, I agree -- I've seen a lot of great technical info here, and links to websites that have even more (Fuel Moto, nightriders.com, etc).

I did a tour on a birdfarm, too, way back in the "old days". They weren't flying biplanes anymore, barely. . . USS Enterprise CVA(N) 65. Or as we nukes called it, "Quartermile Island".

Ahoy Oldmustang!! Rig fenders and come alongside!! I'm an old CWO-3 Mustang myself, 22 years active and retired in '83. Three tours on "Bird Farms" but my tour with the Seabees in '67-'68 was the best. Really great folks here and their input was truly helpful during my conversion from two wheels to three. Riding a trike is without doubt the most fun you can have with your clothes on!!! Gitter Done!!!!

That's one of the things that attracted me to this site -- everyone seems to get along like old friends, yet are more than willing to welcome newcomers.

I'm with you Graydog -- I was attached to ACB 1 for awhile before I got into Naval Coastal Warfare. Sea Bees are definitely the "Can Do!" organization.
