Cool Has anyone tried Glare polish yet?

Until recently, I thought Zaino couldn't be beat. I've been using it for about 5 years. Then I read about a new, patented polish called Glare by reading the blogs of owners of high end cars like Corvette, BMW, Audi, MB, etc..
This polish has a very high melting point, so it can be used on exhausts and stacks. It forms a covalent bond with the paint which the manufacturer says is warranted for a full 5 years.
It isn't cheap, and can only be ordered from the manufacturer. However, there is a Honda dealership in Arizona which sells it for a little less than $20 a bottle, plus shipping. It is called Honda Glare Professional Polish. This is their link: http://www.parkeryamaha.com/index.as...D&ProdID=29301

I tried it on my 2012 Sonata with Night Indigo (purplish metallic) paint. This car has never been in the garage, and it took a real beating last winter. I applied the first coat per the instructions, and about an hour later, applied the second coat. When I wiped the polish off with a terrycloth towel, the results were outstanding. The car had a deep rich gloss that I could actually read a newspaper in the reflection. I used it on my '05 Harley Lehman trike with Black Cherry and Black pearl metallic paint, and I have never seen it shine so deeply. Just for giggles, I even used it on my '95 John Deere lawn tractor, and believe it or not, I could actually see the reflection of clouds and tree branches in the hood. A little goes a long way. You should be able to get at least 10 full car polishes or more out of one bottle. It smells good, too. After polishing my trike, my garage smells like vanilla.

BTW I have no financial interest in this company, nor am I receiving any payment for my review. I just want to share my observations with others, who, like me, are a little more than anal about the way their rides look.

If you try it, let us know.

I ordered some too. I couldn't get your link to work so I Googled and found a source. I noticed a lot of other positive comments while looking.
    Thanks for the tip!

Here is a discount code for 10% anyone ordering direct from their web site. Put it in "Coupon" at checkout if ordering over $50.00 in product. 5190CLM http://www.glare.com/ Basically covers your shipping cost.
Another good one is "Royal Blue" 10% discount for them CVOHARLEY
Royal Blue is much cheaper then Glare and produces great results in many opinions better then Glare but will not last as long as it is a Wax and Glare is a polish/sealer.
I used 2 coats Glare to seal and 2 coats Royal Blue to make her pop.

After the first coat, I apply additional coats using a 12x12 terrycloth towel folded in quarters. I apply the just a little bit of the liquid with one side, and before it dries, I use a clean side of the cloth to buff it ( i.e. wipe, no buffing required)right away. You can also apply it and let it dry, and wipe off with a terrycloth towel or microfiber (I prefer the first wipe terrycloth, followed by the microfiber, but that's just me). It dries to a tanish color, but comes off very easily.
    Keep me posted.

I know you will like it. It is really impressive on darker, metallic colors, but just as good on the hood of a 20 year old John Deere lawn tractor.

My pleasure. Let me know how you like it. I admit that I am anal about polishing my rides, but like my father used to say "a car can be old but doesn't have to look old". He was a wise man. He is the same man who used to tell me he changes the oil in his car every two years whether it needs it or not.

If you Google "Glare Polish" or "Glare, Corvettes" you should get a link to their site. You can also Google "Honda, Glare, Arizona". Keep me posted. You can find them on YouTube, too.

I think you will like it on that red trike. It really does look like glass when you are done polishing it with Glare. Use it on your mufflers and "hot chrome stuff" too. It doesn't melt like other waxes. I use it on the windscreen and all the chrome... even windows on my car.

Been using it for a number of years now and yes it is great on chrome and pipes as it has a high heat resistance.

It is also great on windshield as there is no grit to scratch. The longer you leave it on the easier it comes off and virtually no dust. This is a sealer polish so it must be allowed to dry on the surface. When I am detailing vehicles I do the entire vehicle and then go back and remove it. I am presently detailing some very high end cars as they come out of storage which I do annually and they only have to be done once a year with Glare. But always remember the final product is what you put into the prep of the finish to begin with. If the surface is full of swirl marks or scratches you need to use a product to remove them first (which Glare sells also of course). Same with pipes. I am also a big fan of Wolfgang products. Wolfgang is high end but you get what you pay for. AutoGeek out of Florida is a good online shopping retailer for our American friends and Eshine, Port Colborne Ontario online for Canadians.

Both these sites also offer great advise and how to information. Happy Detailing!

Here are some pictures of my 012 Sonata that has never seen the inside of my garage, which is too full of junk to get a car into it.

Mine arrived today, gave it a try on the tour pac lid, yes it's ok, good shine perhaps be better to try on an older vehicle rather than my new TG, May notice a bigger difference,

Well! I gave the TG a good cleaning and applied the polish as per the instructions, first coat like a cutting compound, second coat as a polish,
Wow, I'm very impressed, no white residue, easy to apply and the finish is amazing,
I must order another bottle,Thanks for the info guys,

Been using it for a few months now. I like it better than anything else I've used.

Impressive pictures. Sounds too good to be true. I'll have to order some. One thing I haven't seen is how does it hold up to bird shit, tree sap and every day crap like road crud? Is it a hard protective coating or just a good looking shine?
Do you have to remove the previous coating when you re-apply it or just apply it over the existing layer?
    Thanks for the heads up.
