Do NOT go and buy a Ford Ranger battery. It will NOT fit. The Stallion's battery is thinner and not sure where to buy a new one, other than from TBMS.
Any one else have this issue? Where did you find one?
TIA

My original battery was some offbrand made by Interstate. I went to an Interstate battery place and picked up a real Interstate battery... no problem. I dont think there is a size issue other than maybe not every battery store carries that size. Changing it was a bigger battle....
My replacement came from the local parts store-Delco and they said it was for a small Honda car ?? Another friend of mine replaced the battery for his wife and got it at Walmart at a better price (less than $90) and 5 yr warranity !! go figure !!

And make it easy on yourself by taking the old battery with you to match it up as calling for the Ford battery won't help as read in a previous post. While you are at it, get the parts and put in a set of jumper terminals in the trunk !!

I bought mine at Advance Auto parts carry your old one with you ( you'll need it for a core charge anyway , while the battery is out now is a good time to install backup jumper cable posts in the trunk at that point you can be jumped or jump someone else to get started. I drilled two holes on the left side of the trunk under the radio then ran two wires one hot ,one ground and then placed two large bolts and double nuted them where a car jumper cable can be attached
One of the biggest things I found was the terminals were reversed. I went to two major part stores and had to go to a battery shop before I got one that fit. My Stallion is a 08 and I don't know if they changed anything on a later model.
Thanks Guys!

NAPA auto had the battery, Interstate Battery 7551R or Nation Wide 5051R
Interstate was a little higher in price. I bought mine a couple of years ago for $92 for Interstate.
