If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
Speaks Volumes......
I am a Vet and very proud of it. But you know what - Like most of us I was just doing our job.... Even most of the WWI and WW II Vets I've been honored to know over the years feel pretty much the same way. Yes, there are many that went way beyond the "job" and I SALUTE them.
To all my brothers and sisters in uniform I can only say THANK YOU from one to another......
GOD BLESS US ALL....

I'm like an old race horse..... I can still run the race -- Just ache more at the finish line and need more rest between outings.
Thanks to all who served and is serving.
Go NAVY!!
A little late to the dance, but here is goes. As a Marine Corps veteran I thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. But also as a veteran, I need to remind and let people know that Memorial Day is for those who didn't make it back or those who are no longer here. Not meaning to offend anyone at all. So next year, before the BBQ and all that other good stuff we all (me included)have planned, go to the local parade and then to the cemetery for the program after. Lower your flag (if you have one) to half-staff.
For those of us still among the living, Veterans Day is our day .
