New front tire on the way

It's time. Did quite a bit of research and found most tires had both pro's and con's. Finally decided to go with the brand currently on the front, a Metzeler. The trike now has 25,000 plus miles, but since I purchased it used, I would imagine this may be the second tire. Could be wrong since it had less than 17,000 miles at purchase. Had to do this before heading to Eureka Springs - probably wouldn't have made it there and back on the current tire.

New Meat on the ground always boosts the confidence level.... You'll have a couple weeks to break them in before heading out. That is always a good idea. I try to get all my maintenance done well in advance of any trip...

Still don't know if I'll make Eureka Springs. The wife has had her new hip a week now and is showing good recovery progress but she has to be able to go solo before I can abandon her and go play. We have nearly three weeks so I'm hopeful. Two weeks before decision time.... :xszpv: :xszpv:

Interested in knowing why you did not pick a BT45 or a MPA??? Those seem to be the top choices among GoldWing trikers!
