Front tire pressure was 60psi

I checked the front tire pressure a couple of days ago and found it to be 60 psi...I took delivery last Sept. 2013 on a 2014..didn't think to check tire pressure assuming the dealer had checked the tire pressure...I kept moaning that the steering was hard and my shoulder was giving me issues...got it down to 40 psi and found much better turning...read a post where someone had set the front tire to 36psi..well I tuned it down to 36psi and it's like a different bike...yay for me...

I run my 1300 vtx at 36. seems fine. I can run the curves very hard.

Been running 36 psi since I have owned Harleys..If I remember correctly the manual recommends 36 psi.
Helps keep from changing the front tire to often too.

I'd be taking this issue up with the dealer, who knows what else they didn't do correctly. What pressure did they have the rear tires and the shocks set at?

Check your owners manual, front is 36 psi, rear is 26 psi.

I have often wondered how thorough a check the dealers perform on a new bike. Best to assume they did little and verify as many things as possible yourself.

I have wondered, lately, where the oft touted 41psi came from.
That's where I ran mine when triked until recently reading of several that run 36psi.
Let my front down to 36psi and OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh what a difference

I have a few times when the dealer delivered the TG back to me with 26 in the front and 36 in the rear....at least they tried... ...just got it backwards.

The recommended air pressure from Harley is 36 for the front and 26 for the rear tires. As for the shocks I run 30lbs with the Tri-Glide stuff lift kit.

Me too. My dealer always inflates the tires way beyond the recommended PSI- don't know why but they do - also when I do have the dealer do an oil change(not often)they tighten the oil filter way beyond the recommended spec.

Made the adjustments 36F,26R and 30psi shocks...have to say made a huge difference for the better steering. I had the lift kit put on. Now the dealer knows to adjust the spot lamps a little higher if they do another install for the lift kit..
