removal of rear box and fenders

Hello all , anyone out there find a video of removing the rear box & fenders in one piece ? Wife had hers in shop and service manger said mech's took it off in one piece , unplug harness and 4 bolts , 2 guys lifted whole thing off at one time . Would like to see video of this , yeah I could read SM but , seeing them disconnect and unbolt ,then where to grab it and lift it off would be nice . Thanks Greg (2011 Tri Glide )

Had mine off you have 4 bolts in the bottom of trunk 2 bolts in the back. Unplug the harness under seat I also had to remove rear speakers and disconect the wires there along with radio antena cable in tour pack and fish it through the opening. Then just lift off I think we lifted at the sides in front and back of fenders.

Trike body is nothing more that an upside down boat odd shaped . Can't really hurt it. 4 to 6 bolts should hold it down. unplug the wiring. Lift it by the fenders and walk it off

Just idle curiosity, but WHY take the box off??

I removed body and had on saw horses for over a month this winter.
Had to replace rod ends on pan hard bar and do some paint repair on my 11.

We just lifted from each side at fenders and a balance point and walked it off. We removed tour box completely before body. It will look like a stubby bike with body off.

Thanks for pictures Dennis . One question where top of shock is bolted to cross member , there appears to be 2 bolts and a sleeve or short tube , is there a bolt for it too ? Oh by the way have you ever seen any 2011 TG'S with the body canted to one side ? Dealer says they have seen it before they adj. it ( no charge) but there is still a 1/2" difference right to left at the bottom of the fenders measured from floor to fender .

The top of shock is held with bolt going through shock and threading into frame (cross member) if I understand your question. On body adjustments, someone else will have to field that, never personally had the problem.

You could also remove the frt. fender, and the lowers, and the windshield and make a nice three wheel bobber out of it , how bout some pic's of it when you get thru. might start a new trend .

Shocks attach like any motorcycle shock 2 bolts 1 top 1 bottom, the cross member its self shows 2 bolts on the right 2 on the left ; to the outside of those are what appears to be 2 short blank studs or tubes , are these mounting points for the body ? Does anything attach to them by way of a bolt , I am assuming they are body mounts of some type , if not what are they there for ? Thank You again Dennis for your help, Greg

Bolts come through body in trunk and attach there. They are threaded bosses. You should be able to click on picture to enlarge and then click again for even better picture. Hope that clears it up better.
