Well they finely got the parts in from there new vendor.
Very nice Quality work on there part.

I got them yesterday , here are some before install photos.

Having just got my Trike, I am VERY interested in this! - I have already had it roll a couple of times.

i am anxious to learn more about it. Please post Pics as well as your opinion once you have it installed.

This is why I researched lots and this is the only option as far as I am concerned.for the past two months I have been using Velcro wrapped around the front brake lever :-)
For sure I will post pics for you guys, while I am installing it.

To stop the rolling for you, you need to remember to put your trike in gear :-)
I do not have that option anymore as I have converted to the EFM Auto clutch.

The times it rolled, I THOUGHT that I had left it in 1st Gear, but apparently not.

BUT.... I do like the idea of the Velcro around the fron brake lever. - I will have to stop and get some.

Call John Lee and he will give you the new price.
I had money already with them on account.
So I am not really sure what the price is now .
I had ordered mine about 3 months ago.

I am betting around $499 to $599 I would guess.
kind of like when I ordered the reverse for the self install
that cost was around $1,050.00 I think.

Next will be the floor boards maybe in the future. been
5 years now with out them though.
The Quality IS there for sure.

The Parking Brake Assembly for the Ventures is $695.00 plus shipping.

Although we have corrected the Component/Vendor supply issues for the most part, these Assemblies remain somewhat limited in regards to availability.
As such, we do give priority to Orders from Areas where these are mandated by Law first.
Second to Full-Kit Orders where the Parking Brake is desired and specified.
Then to Orders for Retro-Fit to existing Trikes.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and we will continue to do everything within our control to provide quality and timely Service to all as we have always done.

None that we are aware of at the present.

OK, went ahead and figured it out.
I was also able to route the cable to the left side
of the trike where I wanted it to be for visible reference.
will be sending the handle parts out for chrome when riding
season is over. have not test road it yet. bike seems to stay
strong in one spot when activated.
lever up is parking brake on.. lever down is off.
now onto the next project !!

NOTE: this was the location that (I) chose to place the lever.
Hanniagn has them mounted lower (near floorboard)on the right side of the trike.

I was surprised that this feature wasn't offered to me last year when I had the conversion done but now I have one on order and hope to have it for a trip scheduled for 8/20. I have always worried, when parked on an incline, that the trike would either slip out of gear or some idiot would kick it out of gear. There's no stopping the idiots but hopefully they are too dumb to disengage both.

for the install. pretty simple, but you still might need a little help.
Anyways I will PM you my number when your ready.

I did contact Jim on what changes needed to be made.

Send my parking brake lever out to chrome this winter .

Thanks Jeff for the offer of help but I am having Crossroads do the installation as they have done them before and as I get older I make too many mistakes that ending up costing more in the long run. I am using your idea of putting it on the left side though as it makes more sense for visibility and not forgetting to disengage. Please let me know how the chroming works out as I am thinking of doing the same. Thanks again, Rusty

The parking brake was installed Monday by Crossroads Trikes here in Salt Lake City. They did a great job and I'm very happy with their work(thanks to all) and the quality of the equipment, top notch as we have come to expect from Hannigan.

I really don't like the idea of cutting that long TRENCH up the side of the Fiberglass!!

i think this is one I am going to skip.

I think I will look into other options.

what long trench?

that is just the cable there is only two small holes
attaching the lever. you can also mount is elsewhere.
