I'm looking for ideas on a simple trike kit for the O.L.'s little 89 883 Sporty. Any good ones out there?

If your looking for a simple kit take a look at the Voyager, Tow Pac and Trigg to start with..
Bolt them on and off you go and unbolt them when your done and your back to 2 wheels.

Go with the Frankenstein I love mine
Take a look at this thread, it documents my recent Champion trike kit conversion on a Sportster (2009 XL1200 Custom)...

I did a lot of reading and research before purchasing. I looked at many different configurations, and narrowed it down to either a Champion or a Frankenstein. Both of these are very good products. One of the deciding factors for me was that the Champion came standard with dual rear brakes (disc at each wheel) where the Frankenstein was a single rear disc on the axle (dual disc was and additional charge). The bike is a blast to ride so far, and the quality of the kit is top notch. I would highly suggest adding a rake kit to the front. When I first got the bike built, both my wife and I rode it without the rake kit and it was a handful to control. Once the rake kit was added, it was a whole new animal... tracks great, steers easier and handles much better!
I have been researching kits for my Dyna and the kits are close to the same as far as styles available. I check Champion, Frankenstein, Mystery kits as well as several others.
I decided on the Mystery kit because of the ISS system they use and offer. The ISS or IRS if you prefer rides so much better and handles better.
But that is my opinion.
I went with Frankenstein on my 1200 sportster. Being an old car guy the Dana 30 rear, 9'' Ford axels and parts readily available appealed to me. Try to see the kit in person to appreciate the build quality. As far as the ride, can't say the diff from indy suspension.Dropped the tires to 20,made a big difference.Wifey and I love it. Spent 1 1/2 days in garage to install, not counting my time to paint fenders.
