My name is Clinton,and I have been riding goldwings for many years .I have had 7 ,including a 89 motor trike.I don't have a trike at this time but considering Triking my 2010 wing.I recently had a spinal fusion in me neck at C4 and c5,so no riding for me until sept.I have a few minor health problems that are making me think about a trike.It seems that when I ride for a couple of hrs,when I stop,I feel like I am still moving.this causes me to wobble the bike some.I do fine on short rides. I also have a short inseam so that compounds the problem.I think 3 wheels might be the answer .

Triking is definitely the right way to go for anyone who has had spinal problems, hip or knee surgery, or even amputations. I was on a road trip last week and saw a fellow with a sidecar conversion and his wheelchair was mounted right there by the rear fender well.

I had back surgery several years ago and have put tens of thousands of miles on my trikes since then because I refused to give up the open road experience.

Howdy Clinton. Welcome to TT from your fellow Texas members!!! From your description of things I expect you are in a better position then most when it comes to choosing a trike or not. Having owned one before you know way more then I did when that time came. A new hip and a new knee later and I know I made the correct choice.

Thank you for the welcome.I just got home from dinner.we eat at my dads on Sunday,started doing that 3 yrs ago after mom passed away from cancer .My brother showed up with a trike.2008 csc,he just got home.He and his wife went to Texas to get it.His wife has MS and sometimes he has to help her get on the bike ,if she gets feeling bad.It is a very nice bike.He has never had a bike this nice.I hope they enjoy it,and it is,what they need for sure.His old bike is a 88 goldwing with 140,000 miles on it.I am happy for them,This is a nice trike.

Congrats to your brother and his bride. Sounds like this are in it for the "Long Haul"... Sunday lunch with DAD would be special. Mine is gone now (so is MOM).. Cherish them while you can.....

Welcome Fabricater, take a ride up to Honda Suzuki of Jackson on rt 35 if you want to see a different selection of Goldwing trikes. They had three on the floor last weekend. New 2012 CSC, 2005 MT, & a 2007 not sure of the conversion on this one. Both of the used ones look well cared for.

I was there a few weeks back,before I had surgery and could ride,and road a 2014 spyder.I never even looked at trikes or noticed they had any.At the time I was set on selling my wing and going to a new spyder.They are nice,but I have backed off on that for now.It is a new model and are not proven yet.I bought the wing new and know what I got.I think the new spyders will prove to be good,but it's the unknown that bothers me.
