Check some of these at your local Walmart.

You most likely find others of the sort at Radio Shack, Target, Best Buy, auto parts stores, truck stops or anywhere they sell automotive electronics.

You can find these on Ebay. Log onto Ebay and type in usb adapter car charger and you'll find them for .99 - about 6.00.
Make sure you read the output DC voltage. They make them putting out 5V .5-2,1 Amp

LOOK CLOSELY when you look at the Griffin units at Walmart. They make several models. The ones I'm using fit nearly flush with the female lighter socket. The only thing protruding is the USB cord ends. The ones I have have 2 USB slots so you want to get the higher amperage output if you are going to use both plugs. They work GREAT!!

Our friends have a Tri Glide with cig lighter socket. They were told they couldn't use that to plug in other stuff as the wiring was too light to handle it. I find this hard to believe. I have a 2008 Harley and want to use the cig outlet for charging Garmin and phone etc. also. Can I just use one of the adapters plugged into it and not worry about messing anything up?

The cigarette lighter should have a 15 amp fuse. Thats plenty for a phone, gps. I have used it that way on my ultra for years.<br />
I get mine from the dollar store. I prefer the dual with 2 and 4 amp charging.

I don't know what the part number is but here is the one made by Battery Tender.
And this is the one I use. It's also made by Battery Tender. Good brand name and quality products. This one plugs directly into my charger umbilicus under my seat. So no hard wiring is required. That and I do not have a cig lighter/power outlet.
Both cost between $10 & $15
Hope this helps.

I didn't know Battery Tender had those out, will definitely get one for charging my phone. My Garmin has the cig type plug, and by the sounds of replies on here, I can plug it into the lighter socket. Thanks everyone
