Morning Everyone, here is another update, yesterday the county had a blood drive for Chris too! They had 60 people donate in her name. Now onto the bad, yesterday Chris was admitted to the hospital, the following is from Chris:

"Good morning! Well what an adventure Dean Wellington and I have been through in the past 24 hours. Started with iron infusion, unfortunately side effects from the iron came to haunt me. Hard to breathe, shortness of breath, coughing, contractions, rash on my face...I had enough benadryl yesterday to last me a week! I'm feeling better today, but still having contractions here and there...just waiting on the doctors at
maternal fetal medicine to make a plan...for now I get to sit in lehigh valley hospital."

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!!!

Bill, it sounds like things are not getting worse. So maybe all of the thoughts and prayers are having a positive effect! Chris is a fighter, you know that we all are pulling for her.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. All the positive energy is working. Thanks for the updates and we will continue praying for you guys. God bless your family! ThumbUp

Bill and Sherry -

Everyone's thoughts and prays seem to be working and we are encouraged by Christina's weekly up dates.

For anyone not familiar, go to: http://www.gofundme.com/christinawellington , and read about Christina's (OB's daughter) medical situation. Besides your on-going thoughts and prayers, consider a donation. All donations (ANY amount) go towards deductibles, co-insurance and "surprise" expenses.

Update 9-24-2014, Chris was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon, they gave her a steroid shot and 2 blood transfusions to try and get her iron levels up, she is severe anemic. Her is her post on facebook this morning......
"Well it was a long night last night...finished the blood transfusions at about midnight, contractions almost all night...they ended up giving me percocet, but I still feel the contractions. Now I'm on a strict liquid diet only because of the frequency and they want to get my doctors together to talk about what to do. Thank you to all that donated blood it's already coming into use!"

The original date of surgery was set for 10-13-2014 at 7:30am, however looks like that might change.

Thanks for all your prayers!!!!

Ride Safe!

Bill,
Thanks for the update. Our prayers are with you and your family. Keep your chin up and stay positive. We wish you nothing but the best. God bless and keep the faith!!!!

Hello Everyone, just wanted to update everyone, Christina went into labor on October 09, 2014 very early in the morning. Doctors were called in and at 10:00am she had a girl named Sadey Marie, and at 10:07am a girl named Miley Sage. She was in surgery until about 3:00pm, from there she went into ICU, spent about 12 hours in ICU and then onto her room. Christina had some major surgery performed, just after delivering the twins, doctors had her open for just over 5 hours. All those prayers paid off, she only lost 1 pint of blood during surgery, but had to have 3 pints administered on October 10, 2014. This is what she posted on her facebook page on October 18, 2014:

"So as many of you know these last 2 months have been extremely emotional mentally and physically! Tonight I sat looking through pictures of our good and bad times! I never realized how strong of an individual that I am! I now know with the support of my family I can do anything and everything!

My story started off terrifying from doctors telling Dean and I the pregnancy probably would progress and if it did we risk losing the twins as well as my own life, but we had faith and knew god would show us the right path.

We kept our hopes high and had multiple doctors suggesting and advising to terminate or to at least terminate 1 of the babies.

Dean and I heard our babies heartbeats and knew we couldn't turn back!

We prayed more than I think we ever have in our entire life!

As the months progressed we knew the risks became higher, but we never once thought we had made a mistake nor did those words ever come out of our mouths!

We only spoke positive thoughts of the twins, and braced ourselves for rough times ahead!

The reality really set in for us when we found out I was severe anemic and began IV iron infusions!

The infusions were tiring, but we continually counted down the trips, until I had an allergic reaction and was hospitalized!

September 23rd changed our life as we knew it! I was admitted into the hospital and was monitored very closely due to the extreme situation we were in. Immediately entering the hospital I received blood transfusions in hopes to raise my Hemoglobin levels, luckily it went up enough to stop there!

The month of September disappeared before we knew it we were in October counting down the days till the 13th! The nurses began making bets with us about when the babies were coming!

Dean guessed October 9th and he was right! I went into labor October 9th early morning, before I knew it the surgeon was being called into work early because the girls did not want to wait!

Into the surgery room I was able to share the most magical moments with the love of my life holding my hand continually telling him I was so scared and he kept telling me I was going to be alright! We saw our two beautiful angels together and all 3 of them were escorted out of the operating room!

Off to sleep I went and the nightmare began! I awoke to my mom crying saying "what's wrong?" I was placed on a ventilator and them pushing a tube down my throat and into my stomach!

I was strapped down and couldn't move my hands! I was terrified, but once again dean stay right by my side telling me I was okay and letting me know he was there!

My Hemoglobin plummeted and they had 3 units of blood transfused with 15 minutes!

From there my tale becomes better...the next day they were able to take me off of the ventilator and move me back to the nurses that I knew very well! Yes the next few days were rough, my throat was sore and breathing was hard, but I pushed through!

They believed I had pneumonia and I was vomiting, but once again my will to live outweighed laying there pitying myself!

My entire body was extremely swollen! I pushed myself to move and I did it!

We spoke to the doctor and found out the surgery was much more than he expected I not only had 1 placenta acreta BUT TWO and the second one was also a previa (extremely dangerous)!

When the doctor sees me I swear he looks into my soul and he knows how close I was to losing it all! I soon learned i had 47 staples which grossed me out and my knight in shining armor helped me clean them and attend to my wound!

Which he knew I did not want to do!

Lol, Dean brought me home and this past week he has taken care of my very want and need! These memories will forever be engraved in my mind! I am grateful for life and for everyone I have in it!

Dean was my life saver!

He stayed with me EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NIGHT at the hospital! He never left my side! The love and respect I have for my husband is immeasurable!

He promised me he would be there for me and he went above and beyond!

I love you Dean with all of my heart and soul! I will always remember your dedication you devoted to me for such a long period of time and never complaining!

You are my knight in shining armor and a true hero!

On October 21, 2014 the twins came home from the hospital, healthy as could be.

so, I would really like to thank all those that sent prayers and kept us in there thoughts.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, I dearly love you all !!!!!!!!

I would also like to thank everyone that donated to Christina through gofundme, those that donated will receive a thank you note from Christina at some point, but right now she has her hands full with the twins.

Thank you everyone and ride safe!!!!

Bill, I'm so glad that all of the prayers that everyone sent were answered! Now the family can heal and grow, you and Sherry can enjoy being Grandparents. Have fun......and god bless you all!!!

Congratulations to your entire family!!! We are so happy to hear everyone is doing well. Those girls have a strong woman for a mother. The power of prayer is amazing!! I know that I've used it once before in this thread but remember. ..The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you. God bless all of you!!
