I just noticed this week that after I had my CD (MP3 player) on. I couldn't turn it off. I pressed the volume button. OFF shows in the window but it won't turn off. This also happens if I has FM, AM, AUX or any of the radio functions selected. At present, I'm just turning the volume down. Hoping there's an easy fix.

Now that's a first for me Rich. Just maybe disconnecting the battery and letting the residual voltage bleed off will let the microprocessor reset and all will be good. I'll be watching this thread for sure.

GOOD LUCK !!!! :xszpv::xszpv:

Sounds like the radio got a virus....a bad case of Boogie Fever.
Oh, and I agree with the battery disconnect solution now that my smarmy answer is out of the way.

I had that problem on a 2006 model, turned out to be the audio button was dirty. Sprayed contact cleaner in it while pushing the button numerous times and it finally turned off. Sprayed it with Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant afterwards and it never gave me any more problems.

Ya know,,,, I've been well aware that my memory has been failing me. Well this is just another bit of proof that I'm well on the way to hanging it all up for good. :Shrug:

I was trying to turn off the radio with by pressing the volume button,,. :cxtv:
It's the "God D@#" AUDIO button that I have to press and hold!!!! :AGGHH::mad::gah:

When I begin to forget how to turn a radio off, I think it's time to call it quits! :(

Welcome to early onset dementia...:laugh:

Lot of buttons up there, I've been known to hit the starter button when I wanted to honk at someone. Same location - wrong side and then the Boss has the nerve to ask me "you reckon they heard that". CRS comes and goes, I use it to CMA occassionally.ThumbUp

Anybody tried out the "Lumosity" brain came site. I have been tempted to check it out. Brain farts happen more often that they used to.
It is suppose to help out with brain activity.
