I know there's much issue re: "cramped" space for passengers of the Stallion. Since no mfg. offers a remedy, I am pursuing one through Corbin. Just ordered the contoured Oval-back Tee Model backrest with support hardware (receptacle), that the backrest
support will go into. I have a good fabricator pal who will cut the existing support on the stock backrest down first to the height of the top of the seat. then he'll weld the mild steel support shaft into the stock one. The new backrest which you can view on the Corbin site sits 13" high and has an open back (center), that is both comfortable and "cooler" than the original. The adjustable angle of the new seat is located "under" the bottom of the rest and NOT attached from "behind" with that intrusive adjustment screw. I suspect I'll be able to lop off 2"-3"of the intrusive depth on behalf of the passenger's comfort. Will post photos when the project is done.
I believe this is a viable remedy to such concern and DO-able! Feel free to contact me: waiview178@gmai l.com or phone: 518-761-6735.
Perhaps someone can then finally instruct me how to post photos properly which I just can't seem to do; (resolution too high?). My custom paint work done by "Mac the Knife" had a remarkable outcome and garnered a lot of attention here in AMERICADE country. Happy to send photos if you write me since again, can't find help in posting... Best to All, Lar
