If you're over filling, Or trying to keep the oil level at the very top at all times you'll have blow-by.. I keep the oil between the add and full mark.. Its not necessary to keep it at the full line.. When I had a spyder, They were notorious for blow-by, Keeping the oil just below the full line, And putting a little piece of foam in the breeder tube stopped the blow-by..

I have a Harley stage one kit on my 14 trike and am using the factory air cleaner cover. I have had other Harleys with the same set up and on all of them I would get the oil drips occasionally. I found a very inexpensive and humorous way to put an end to the drips. I put my trike and other bikes on the rag! I go to the store and buy some maxi pads for women, remove the sticky tape, roll them up to the best size roll and shove them in the bottom of the air cleaner cover and the filter. When you have the roll tight or loose enough they will not come out and they absorb any excess drips. I change them out at an oil change and once in between. I change my oil every 3,000 miles. Works Perfectly and you can not see any evidence of it in place.
