    Default A damn good puzzle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Size: 9.7 KB Most every one knows that I hold all politicians no matter what party they belong to in equal disdain.
Seems our Govt. is run by obstruction and not by anything that even resembles a thinking body of reasonable men and women and congress is absolutely lame and out of control and crap runs down hill from there, inundating state and local Politician's.

Nobody is really watching due to bi-partisan bickering and so it's clear sailing for special interest groups to run amok.Name: smiles%20%20wanker.gif

The media is too involved in sensationalism to bother looking for truth, they don't need it to sell their product to the people!Name: smiles-admin1.gif

So here's is a puzzle for you! Name: smiles%20slap%20head.gif

    I sure don't get it!

Puzzle One: Imagine you are a 3 year old to 8 year old child. You are on your own without adults. You are asked to walk from Houston, Texas to Minneapolis, Minnesota on your own with no food or belongings to sustain you. Then you are asked to walk an additional 100 miles past Minnesota.

    Could you do it?

    · How long would it take you as a 6 year old? That is the minimum distance these poor, helpless little ones have supposedly walked from Central America to the border of Texas, again, on their own. They didn't get lost.

    · And they survived the journey without help (unless you buy in to the notion that a destitute out-of-work family run out of their homes by gangs and living in squalor somehow came up with $8,000 to $10,000 for EACH child to pay a coyote to take them to the border).

Puzzle Two:You must start somewhere in the green area. Let's make it easy and start where green meets orange, so that you had the least mileage by not having to cover the whole green area. Just start where the green meets the orange. Blue, of course, is water.

    · Your task is to figure a route from the green area to the purple area without going into the blue area and while avoiding towns and cities in the orange area. The black line is the distance from the nearest town to Mexico's southern border that touches the green area to Laredo, Texas, one of the CLOSEST purple towns. 1220 miles across desert and mountains with no equipment or food or help.

    · If orange had stopped these innocents where orange touches green, problem would not have occurred. However, what six year old do you know who could walk 1220 miles (minimum), probably more like 1500 miles on their own without dying?

    · How many days would it take for a 6 year old to walk 1220 miles without help, directions, food, sun protection, etc.?

. How many days if you took the train?

. Could our govt. or special interest groups simplify this by sending planes to get all the children; and their brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents; and their aunts and uncles and cousins; and…,

The whole truth is not being given us, folks. Someone created and is assisting this, and the media should be telling us who it is.Name: smiles-hitwithrock.gif

The answer is cheep labor... Landscape workers, Day workers, etc....
Do away with cash and you'll see a change....
And it's all our fault.. Have a contractor who pays his people a living wage, And ask for a quote on some work around your house, Then get a quote from a contractor who picks up day workers off the street, ...

2 thought about replies but neither is an answer to the question..
and the answer is.. (well im betting it is from the other side of the world) that money is changing hands, scumbags are making a profit, so it will keep happening... and soft politicians, who were voted in to do the will of the people see it as an opportunity to grandstand and get seen on TV and other Media. remember no publicity is bad publicity, unless your caught with your pants down. or fingers in the till.
theres no political gain in shutting the gate and saying no. far more to gain by being a bleeding heart in a media circus...
this may seem harsh, and many will play you as evil for doing what has to be done because as long as the gate is open those profiting on anothers misery will keep shipping, or in this case delivering exploited people to the gate.

    question 2
when is a refugee a refugee??
that answer is... anyone who escapes a place where they have reasonable grounds to believe their life is in serious danger.
but you are only a refugee till the first safe haven you reach.
so in other words, if i claim to be in serious danger in Australia and swim to New Zealand, i cant then catch a plane to the USA and claim refugee status.
if these children were indeed threatened and at risk of being killed, what became of their parents and who payed for the transport...
the fact also remains that they were safe from the threat within their country as soon as they crossed into the Orange country (however i wouldnt want to live there LOL.)

not wanting to steal the topic but we have a situation where middle eastern types are flying to indonesia, then buying a place on a dodgy boat to get to Australia. they throw their passports and documents away to make it hard to find out who they really are. if you wanted another country to take you in because your government wanted to kill you, wouldnt you want your passport to prove who you are and back up your claim??
but if you left your country on a plane, you had a ticket and went through immigration and customs.. so wouldnt the government that wanted to kill you find you when you went through the airport. and if youve landed in indonesia if you somehow got through the airport without anyone noticing.. well now your in a safe place. so claim your refugee status there..
if you then buy a position on a people smugglers boat and destroy your papers, should Australia let them in....NO.... but we do..
and these creeps sell there kids for sex for a packet of smokes and still end up getting citizenship, while honest people attempting to emmigrate by the correct chanells are being turned down.
these people are not refugees they are illegal imigrants.

some here have destroyed the camps they are temporarily housed in, while our govt tries to find out who they are and why they are here... the conditions are good and the food and education given to the children is of a standard our kids get.

but here they will use their children as padding and throw them on razor wire so the adults can get over the camp fence.
here they sew there kids mouths shut (with no anaesthetic) as a protest about the food and housing we are giving them for free.
Our government is also happy for taxpayers to fund private jets to fly them across state to teach them to play golf, they get put up in luxury resorts for a few weeks to learn golf, because presumably it will Australianize them...
quite frankly i dont want a child abusing illegal immigrant rapist as a neighbour.
But we should be nice to them....

AND... yes im off again.. if the government of the Green country is hunting and killing children. We as the rest of the world would have a moral responsibility to enter that country and remove the powers that be to prevent that tragedy...
however i doubt that ther is a kid killing government behind that situation,
If its just people smuggling, your best plan is to be prepared to accept the cost of returning each and every one back to where they came from (provided they werent in real danger) right to the house they came from. door to door service. and promptly..
that way others see paying the smugglers doesnt work and wont try it themselves.
any hold up in a return process means more will come..

i hate to see people suffer, and i understand people wanting a better life.

but is our life that much better for them??
if border jumpers get in, what is there usual standard of living with no ejuckashin and no work skills.
bottom end jbbs at best, so by the time they pay rent and power there still hungry and with more stress from our way of living.
our lives are stressfull. the simple life while not glamourous is less stressful// i bet suicide rates are higher among the poor in 1st world countries is higher than in the second world.
the only ones benefiting from this is the smugglers. not them, not the tax payer.

My thoughts follow yours my friend.
The thing that is so nuts is that the rest of world shows signs of doing the same thing.
fear and anger are different sides of the same stocking. one side is fear, pull it inside out and the other is anger.
Most anger is based in fear, If we can honestly ask ourselves what we are afraid of the answer to how we handle anger presents its self and a clearer picture develops .
If politicians can keep us in fear of tragedy that may never occur they can keep us angry at one another and divide us in an ever changing fear base.
That fear base can never be alleviated because it doesn't serve their purpose.
Unity doesn't get them elected in the political scene they have created which is to keep the American people off balance by convincing us they actually doing something?

and huge money is required to gain a seat of authority and the majority of our congressional members are at least millionaires, some many times over. they are who we should be afraid of!

The problem has now become one of an epic proportion in this country and has led to a govt. that rules by fear and obstruction rather than presenting a unified position to it's citizens and the world outside our borders.
All this has led to a society that has become very vulnerable to outside interests because we can not focus on what's really important. The American people and a unified nation that is harder to exploit. ( they keep us pulling the stocking inside out trying to figure out what side we are looking at?)

I don't have my head in the clouds, there will always be those who will find a way to exploit weakness or poverty for their own gain but it's hard to accept that we make it so much easier for them to do so.

The slave sex trade is flourishing pretty much the way it always has.

war outside our borders is not the answer in every case, A house cleaning inside our own borders must first be accomplished.
Im not talking about an armed revolution, Im talking about putting the obstructionist out of office, The problem of course is to find a replacement for the obstructionist.
Remove the requirement that millions are spent to gain office? Good luck, your fighting the ones who have made it so.

Term limits? good idea but struck down by the very people who it was to protect us from!
politicians in this country are bred by special interest groups to be one day put in the position of power to push certain agendas and when someone does something to disrupt the plan an all out war on character creates enough fear in folks they are as unable to see truth as the media.

How many times have we as citizens been led down a false path for the purpose of creating enough fear and anger to assure we will be distracted from the truth of what's going on?

Start a scandal, and convince someone it's the truth, form a political action committee to extort money from the public to fight a dreamed up wrong get the clueless media on the hook and when they have put all the money in their pockets they can the scandal seems to be put to rest amongst lots of loud mouth rhetoric and drama At the expense of the tax payer and the true patriot who is fooled onto trying to right a falsehood and the next meaningless scandal takes form.

The truth is that there is no party who is above playing the game because they are out for themselves period!

I am of the opinion that the public (myself included) fit into the category of patriot and truly do want the best for America?

    Solution?
Perhaps? go to the very top with the one person who HAS to honor the term limits?

Hmmmm? What could be accomplished by a grass roots movement to re-push the agenda, and force politicians to change the law so they can't duck out of it?

    Any other solutions?

"huge money is required to gain a seat of authority and the majority of our congressional members are at least millionaires, some many times over"

House democrat from California Nancy Pelosi (former speaker of the house) made a comment the other day. Nancy said, being the humanitarian and compassionate person that she is, she would like to take all of the children from central America into her home and care for each and every one of them. She is such a caring person. I am assuming she is including the teenage, "minor", gang members who are arriving at our border. Lets send some of them to live with her so she can care for them. I wonder how her wealthy neighbors would like that? Nancy Pelosi is worth $24m so I guess that she could afford to help some of these children but she has not given any indication she is willing to do so. But I am certain that she will support a bill that will require the American tax payers to foot the bill for the care of the children which is going to become quite expensive as more arrive daily. Why should she spend her own money when she can spend ours?

    Why indeed?

The only thing she left off her declaration is that she won't charge any more than any other respected professional service would normally charge the taxpayer.
(Gotta make a profit to claim non-profit status? Wonder how many congressional members from all parties will jump on that cash cow to prove compassion?)
Hey I got an idea Nancy, Lets start a political action committee!

hers another question... How do you feel or react when someone keeps takes stuff from your work desk or toolbox without asking? its only a small thing, but its really annoying. If it keeps happening, your going to say or do something about it. They are taking advantage of the hard work you have done to earn that desk

what about someone breaking into your car and taking the stereo. they are taking advantage of your working and saving up to buy that car and stereo

What if people from a poorer neighbourhood decided it was ok to come to your home, eat the veggies you planted, took fruit from the trees you cultivated, took eggs from your chicken house, came into your house to use your computer and sit on your lounge watching your TV???
Youd ring the police and expect it to be stopped, or something more drastic. they are taking advantage of your hard work and savings and planning for the future

invading someones space or property is at least an inconvenience, but probably a criminal offence.

The three examples above are all similar but on different scales.

We have property laws and police to curb these type of events and a legal system to hopefully prosecute offenders.

Yet we have Politicians grandstanding the empathy card allowing property crimes against our nations. Illegal Immigrants (not talking about genuine refugees) come to take advantage of Our Nations hard work, blood sweat and tears. our forefathers toil to build something worth having (and worth protecting)
The problem may only seem like a dripping tap now.. but dripping taps left unfixed become a flow and eventually a flood.

Will you be happy when your kids or grandkids cant have new computers they were expecting because the nation cant afford the extra cost of education under the flow of uneducated illegals.

will you be happy when the health system cant afford the heart opperation your wife or husband needs because its stretched even further than it is already.

who will pay all these costs if it goes on unchecked??
    you the taxpayer....yes

your kids in lost services we fought to provide...yes

    your grandkids... yes again.

Why do we have country borders anyway, if not to protect our sovereignty, assets, and way of life.

Otherwise we could all just be to go wherever we want and take whatever we want.. and thats anarchy.

ALL of this probably doesnt belong on a trike forum.

The category is under general discussion and doe's not have rules beyond common decency in the treatment of member to member.

Are you willing to risk your soul to analysis?
Or to risk analysis to paralysis?

There are no easy answers, One extreme wants to end ALL entitlements and the other wants to spread the wealth evenly, even to the point of destroying our way of life.
I think they are both wrong.

I believe a man reaps the fruits of HIS labor and is entitled to protect what he has worked for.

In order to answer your questions it may be necessary to risk your soul to Analysis.

First we have to define the parasite, but as soon as you do the humanity in us probably will begin the analysis and place us in a position to divide the parasite into different classes according to you political, personal or religious belief?
    There in lies the quandary?

For now let's just say the parasite is someone who only takes from society
Or the public coffers and never returns anything and demands and attains goods or services to which he has no right too?
Is that fair? I think so!

It's safe to say we owe nothing to the foreign parasite? (illegal alien)
    How about the immigrant?

Now, is this a domestic or foreign parasite?
What do we as a society concede to the domestic parasite?
Now lets put a name and face on this and the parasite becomes a human being and is it our duty to be our brothers keeper?

Many people and politicians are capable of such hatred and selfishness but most us of just cant stand to see real people suffer but are capable of making a blanket policy of "let em eat grass and die when they no longer can eat grass, so they are not a burden to society!"
    Is that wrong?
If you think So, what categories must you create? How many different classes must be defined to find justice for them or continence with yourself?

Lets consider for a minute the veteran?
is he entitled to the benefits promised him for his service? I believe he is.
    How about the disabled vet?
is he entitled to the benefits he was promised, definitely so, is he a burden or a drain on society?
Is he deserving of an entitlement?
Is his entitlement a political entailment or a moral obligation?
Are we morally obligated to see the veteran and his family receive ALL the help we can give him so he is not brushed aside politically, Are we as a society morally responsible to see he can support himself to the best of his ability.
I say yes to all these questions. but I am answering according to my moral convictions.

Lets consider the man who works all his life and becomes disabled.
Is his soc. sec. disability a political entitlement, or a moral obligation?
How about the senior citizen surviving on soc. security? entitlement or moral obligation?
How about the senior citizen in a nursing home who has sold all of the possessions they have acquired over their life times and even with soc. sec. all their money has gone to pay for care.
Are we morally obligated to carry them as a society for the time they left in life, My humanity tells me I am and I accept this willingly. But once again I am voicing my soul.

The lists and categories go on and on! very easy to come to paralysis due to brain overload.

Try this on for size because it normally fits.
Do your part to reach hand out to those whom you can help on a global, national or local basis according to your means and realize your not capable of saving the world.
if my tax dollar can fund programs for those in need I would give more if I was sure it were going to the cause of justice and moral responsibility instead of being drained into the pockets of those who would exploit me for their gain.( political action committee's?) for instance.

There really are those in need of assistance through the means of my tax dollar and I would one whole hell of allot rather see it go to them than some politicians pork project.

All I can be sure of is when i try to be of service to those in my own community, and can see first hand the difference it makes and perhaps that's the answer on a personal level?

way to much truth in this to make me grin sully, but once again I hold all politicians in equal disdain.
There was a joke on trike talk where some of us were going to hijack a boat and come to America as illegals in order to gain a better life than what we currently live.

I don't know if your aware of this but Colorado has started issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens with the note that it does not entitle them to benefits.
So what, they have had them all along!
Is this an effort to keep track of them?
That's easy to beat-Move after attaining the license!

    Outrageous!

Colorado issuing driver's licenses to immigrantsThe Associated Press - By IVAN MORENO - Associated Press
    23 hours ago

DENVER (AP) — Colorado has started issuing driver's licenses and identification cards to immigrants regardless of their legal status, marking a dramatic change in a state that less than a decade ago passed strict immigration enforcement laws.
There was a festive mood at one Denver office issuing the documents Friday morning, as state Department of Revenue Director Barbara Brohl congratulated applicants once they had their cards approved.
"I never imagined that I would one day have a driver's license in my hands," Mexican immigrant Rosalva Mireles, 37, said in Spanish as she held a paper copy of her new license. The permanent card will be mailed.
She's one of thousands of immigrants hoping the identification cards will add a degree of legitimacy to their residency in Colorado. About 9,500 people are signed up for appointments through the next 90 days to get the documents, with more getting scheduled every day. Both people in the country illegally and those who have temporary legal status will qualify.
The demand has been tremendous since immigrants started making appointments July 1, with the state's website for appointments crashing at one point because of the traffic. So far, appointments are being handled at only five locations — Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Grand Junction.
But it wasn't long ago that those immigrants could only dream of walking into a department of motor vehicles office to get a license. In 2006, Democrats and Republicans in Colorado passed a package of laws cracking down on illegal immigration, including requiring law enforcement to notify federal authorities when they arrested someone suspected of living illegally in the U.S. That law has since been repealed.
Last year, Colorado was among eight states that passed laws allowing identification documents for people in the country illegally. Two of those states, Illinois and Nevada, have already started issuing the documents.

What is the scope of this problem?

" About 9,500 people are signed up for appointments through the next 90 days? " This is only in Colorado.

im thinking this topic is done to death, but.. for the record.. i was only talking about " illegal immigrants" , and even specified i did not include genuine refugees.
i have no idea how veterans got drawn into this, but on that topic i believe they are entitled to whatever services they need. veterans have made up to and including the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our way of life and protect our assets.
if the government has cash to splash on illegals it could give veterans a much better and well deserved deal than it does now, and that applies to both our countries.
i am fine with individuals choosing to give charity to poorer countries.i dont believe the govt, elected by the people, to represent the people, has the right to donate tax dollars to illegals, and that if you dont return the illegals to where they came from, a flow, becomming a tide, of illegals may well follow

PS i didnt mention disabled people either.. i dont see the connection between disability, and illegal immigrants. ..there must be some form of irony in that though.. I am an outspoken voice for disabled rights. ... as seen on TV

I agree with the topic being done to death, The disabled, veterans etc. were just thrown into the mix for clarification purposes.
I enjoyed the discussion folks, Thank you.
