Completed a 15 hour 550 mile day ride through the Dragon Tail and 4 other mountains. The trike performed flawless, glad to report I am very pleased with the Bridgestone!

As am I!
I got 11,000 miles on the OEM tire on my 2012 Gl1800 CSC and the tire was bald. I now am nearing 22,000 miles on the trike; 11,000 on the BT45 and am very happy with the handling and wear. I ran with beads but noted a slight bit of tread rounding at the sipes and felt that it could be a start of cupping so I've just installed Centramatic balancing and will watch what happens on a 6000 mile trip starting on Wednesday. I'm curious to see what happens with the tread wear configuration and how much tread I'll have left at 17,000 miles! BT45 users certainly have reported most favourably on handling and tread wear!
I had a BT-45 on my last Trike and put one on this 2012 in May. Have nearly 6,000 miles on the tire and worn 3 MM of rubber. Road it through the mountains of W Va. heading to Rolling Thunder in May in a driving rain up near Mt Storm and it handled like a dream. Mine is mounted in reverse.
When I got to the top of that mountain it was raining so hard and I was behind 30 other bikes that I didn't even see a high school. Come to think of it, when I came back through on Monday I still didn't see a school. Is it still there? Bet you had some short summers up on that ridge.
I got the BT and it has about 5,000 miles so far, not reversed. I like the handling. Not sure how many miles I will get...most of my riding is in the mountains and I like to be a bit aggressive. But even if it lasts only 12,000 or 14,000, that's OK and the price of admission.
