Seen your write up on the Harley. Now go test ride a Can Am.. Night and day in my book..

Yep ~ I've already done that (Saturday 9/20) on a 2014 RT. Specifically, I wanted to try a Spyder with the 1.3 liter ACE engine and SE6 transmission.

Yes, its remarkable how *smooth* the ride was, the power-assisted steering was JUST right (didn't over-power the handlebar inputs), and there was adequate power (I was the only person on-board, so performance was exceptional)

My demo ride was 15 minutes in length, over local roads, some of which were rough-as-h*ll but the RT took it all in stride. It was impressive.

But I don't want a 2014 RT. If I don't buy a 2015 Freewheeler, I want to hold out for a 2015 F3.

Once the F3 is introduced to the dealers (this week) and the pricing is set, then I'll have a few more parts of the puzzle.

When I demo-ride the F3 (mid-November in Philadelphia market) then I'll decide.

I also monitor 'canamspyderforums.com' and 'spyderlovers.com' to keep up with the latest info.

Yes I have a plan. Once I write a check (for whatever I eventually buy) there are no do-overs

I'm going to a local Harley dealer this Saturday, for another FLRT demo ride, with some questions I didn't get answered back on 9/19. Then, as I said before, I have to ride an F3 in a few months.

I don't know if you've read the HOG Magazine (Volume 27) about the article "2015 Freewheeler Turns Up The Heat". Ironically, the first sentence was: "Enjoy it first for what it is, free of preconceptions" The writer intended to mean that it's a cool motorcycle ~ you shouldn't prejudice it just because it's a trike.

But Harley Davidson has been trading on prejudice for decades. They still produce conventional two cylinder, 4-cycle air-cooled engines, propelled with rear-driven-wheel(s). And they're DARN GOOD at it.

BRP started with a fresh sheet of paper, and designed a trike that's better riding and easier to steer. The styling may unconventional, but BRP didn't start making motorcycles back in 1903. If they had, we might all be driving Spyder (and Morgan 3 Wheeler) "conventional" trikes, and the Freewheeler would be a "reverse" trike

Well I have done both bikes now..Other was the Tri glide. and with all the BS and same ongoing parts issues and wrenching I was done with the Harley for now..I do have my first Harley still I converted to a trike but need to get it running again..

Like I said you have a plan and stick with it..It is a lot of money to invest and you need to be happy with the purchase..

That F3 looks sharp..But in my case I wanted all the bells and whistles..
