Why 3 wheels?
because 2 isn't enough and 4 is too many

Hi
I'm looking for a new seat for my 2016 FW. Is there one that seats you more towards the rear?
The one on mine, seems to "capture" you ...confine you... more than I would prefer. It would be nice to be able to scoot around a little and be more rearward.
Thanks

I bought my Freewheeler a year ago and get a little head shake at low speeds, I tried changing tire pressure, keep an eye on my suspension air pressure and it still does it, anyone experiencing the same problem? I have done a couple changes to make it look the way I wanted it to and most likely do seat and bars as well, I added a road Glide fairing to my Freewheeler and love it been riding fix fairing bikes 1984 and really like them, also I bought my trike because I now walk with arm canes and just didn't feel comfortable holding up my Road Glide anymore. I absolutely love my new bike
I had the dealership check out the balance on the front tire. Fixed the low speed shake

Know what you mean! I haven't been able to use a prosthesis (right A/K amputee) so people on my right side often do a double-take. Riding a motorcycle with one leg? Was actually stopped by a police officer. He just said, "Sorry to bother you, but I just had to ask." So I showed him how the RIDE-ABLE system operated the rear brakes. He had a few more questions about the Freewheeler ( most of you know how that goes). Couple weeks later, pulled up to our local Harley dealership. A "real biker" asked if I was too old to ride a motorcycle (he was on my left side). As I swung the stump over the seat, I replied, "Sometimes life doesn't leave you a lot of choices." Just ignored him as he tried to apologize.
Hi
I find a tach just as important, if not more, than a speedometer. Does anyone else find the FW lacking in this respect?
Thanks

Hi Sue! I joined this forum a couple of years ago, while thinking about buying a Freewheeler. Yes, its a great forum! I ended up purchasing a two-wheeler. Due to worsening joint issues in the past year, I'm trading that two-wheeler in on a Freewheeler! I'll be picking it up this week if all goes well. In hindsight, should have done that back then..but! It doesn't matter. I'm excited for this new experience and adventure. I know I'll feel much more confident! You most likely will, too. Looking forward to seeing you post pics and reading how it all goes for you.
(a little about me: I'll be 62 soon, am retired, currently live in the San Francisco Bay area but am relocating back to northeastern New Mexico soon. Oh! and I picked Black Quartz, though that sunglo red is beautiful!).

I just ordered these with the blue sapphire stones. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Trike...dWnl4J&vxp=mtr
They match my blue Freewheeler.
I ordered these and they are sitting out on the bike waiting for my guy to install them. The blue sapphire studs really look good with my blue Freewheeler! We will see how well they work on the next ride.

Took delivery today of a 2016, Black Quartz. I'm happy and excited...took it out for a spin this afternoon in the business park behind where I live, and a parking lot for practice. I live in a very congested area, so have to work on confidence to get out there, into the traffic and the world beyond.
So far: windshield, windshield pouch, bumper, rack, sissy bar and pad, Vance & Hines slip-ons, heat deflectors; I think that's it for now. I may upgrade the seat eventually. I'm sure there'll be more.
I only have one cell pic after delivery but will take more over the weekend and post soon.
I have scoured these threads over the past days, and am very grateful to have access to so much info.
2016, Black Quartz, delivered this afternoon after going over everything at the dealership. Couldn't ride it off the lot as I had my car, but as soon as it arrived, I was on my way to practice on nearby quiet streets and a parking lot. I'm very happy, and know the FW is gonna be so much fun! Just have to spend some time building up confidence.
Only one cell pic today, will take more soon.
Welcome to the trike family,Steph! You're gonna love your new ride.
Black Quartz is a neat color.
Welcome! I bought the first Freewheeler delivered to Antelope Valley Harley Davidson 3 weeks before it was delivered. Saw preview pictures of it on the web and decided I had to have it. Switched from 2 wheel Harleys to 3 in 2011. Tri-Glides are OK, but the 'Free' is like my old Dyna. No fairings, lights or gages to distract you from the fun. Wife still rides her Tri

Thank you, Steve! I joined the forum in Sept. '14, so have been following your posts. I like the "Free" for the same reasons.
Are you excited Steph? You'll be scraping the bugs outta your teeth for a while!
