Brisbane Australia
weve got the basic plan and approximate route worked out.
it goes something like this but is subject to change if anyone tells us of something well worth seeing that isnt too far off the plan.

we will start out in Dallas. neither of us has been to Texas before , and we only have a choice of LA or Dallas flying direct out of Brisbane. spend a few days in Dallas area and sort out transport, head to little rock Arkansas, and on to Memphis. keen to hear some Blues.

then head down through northern Mississippi to Tupelo, head east through Alabama via Hamilton, Cullman and Borden springs, the on to Atlanta Georgia.

madison SC and then into Motorcyclists paradise , the Tennessee NC ranges, try to do as many of the great rides as we can. we will also follow the blue ridge parkway north to near Roanoke then heading to washington, baltimore and new york. after new york its west toward indianapolis. hope to see some Nascar at the brickworks, which we believe is on late July.

then up to chicago to see HD Russ, My brother from another Mother, if hes home.
then off to see the house on the rock in wisconcin, we have heard its well worth seeing, and because we are so close, we will stop at S&S again
Into Albert Lea to see Keystone and Family.

after that its Sturgis bound, but not the direct route across. thats a long straight ride. so looking at alternate routes. from sturgis we head down to Denver, we have a fair bit of riding we want to do in Colorado. then weave our way down through Zion and Vegas, before LA and home. should keep us busy for a month approx

Any thoughts and any ideas are more than welcome, and we hope to meet a few more of you on our travels

Your route will guarantee you a good time! You'll get to see some wonderful things! One point: If you have to make a choice on what to see in Wisconsin, I would not choose the House on the Rock. Instead, Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, in Spring Green Wisconsin is a much better tour. We were really disappointed with the House on the Rock. It had a dirty, PT Barnum feel about it, and it's not as historically significant as Taliesin. My 2 cents...

Cheers HD Russ. Just spoke to Dennis a few seconds ago (here online) about maybe riding up together.
will email you in the next few days.

will look at that suggestion Rick, cheers

yeah Trent, its just that we have to end up in LA, and can really only start there or Dallas, due to where flights go from here. hard to fit in the time to get into the top left corner

Rmrc51 we will have the computer with us so we will be able to get in touch and see if we can catch up

thanks for the tip jjvw. sounds like good riding.
