How do u tell the GPS to go to a city if you have no street address
John, on ours we can simply put the city's name --- takes you to the center of the city,
a crossroad (I-75/I-675), or put in longitude/latitude.

I did NANA unless they have one on line , mine had only4 pages
oh Nana, you are so funny!
On mine Nuvi you can zoom to an area pick it as a destination and it will get you there. I use it a lot as Road Captain, I also upload/download from Street Atlas USA the ride I have planned in to the Nuvi. Basically you have to experiment with it.

John when you go to put the address in does it ask you for the city first? If so enter the city then figure out how to by pass the rest and it should take.

When on a ride with a group, someone decides where to go, the route to get there, when to stop, how fast to go, looks out for riders falling behind, etc. One of the 2 most important positions in a group ride, the other being the last in line, AKA "sweep", "Tail Gunner", etc. That job is to look out for the riders in front of him, and stay behind if someone breaks down or otherwise falls out of the pack. These 2 are usually the most experienced riders on the ride. Though I have ridden with a few clubs where they have a prospect ride behind the sweep. This position is known as "the guy that gets pulled over by the cops".

Not here Ozark, with only one road in and out of the keys we pick off the front rider and get the whole group.

Well , I printed the Manual off the internet. There is a function where you zoom in , put the pointer on the town and hit save and it makes it a favorite. Thanks for all the help . CEPT for NANA
See that is why the folks up here don't let our mules go to school----

Ozark is correct, we have 3 road Captains, but only one has the position on the ride, the other two spread out in the pact and take over if we get split up.
The 3 captains normally pre ride the route a week or so ahead to dope out any safety issues. Its these rides that I have the most fun seeking a new road or site to see.
Glad you got the GPS figured out John

Actually it was NANA that got me thinkin of going on line to get the manual, as the one that came with the unit was only 4 pages log. that should get me off the hook
My solution to the question how to get to a city with out an address.
I guess that the city has a main street or a first street. Enter 123 main or 123 first and go from there.
When I get real close to the destination I become more interested in being precise and usually make a phone call or stop and ask some locals.

John I guess you will have to do it the old fashioned way and check the map........or ask your sister-in-law nicely and get her to change it for a good Tom Tom...
Pretty easy to do it once you fond out Zoom out drag arrow to point press save and then go to .
