Shaping up and nearly to size.
Shaping up and nearly to size.
They remind me of the mofoco heads. But there valves were smaller lookin. Great job though.
That they are. The 050 heads.
Other than they were 54cc and a step, they are fine for a smaller engine.
These are 42 in, 37.5 out. No step, 60cc chamber now.
Not much done lately.*
Frame sand blasted.
Put some filler on the top joints.
Priming and smoothing down the see me pieces.
And yes.
That is on the front porch where i can hit it a lick every now and then as i pass by.
Are you going to paint the frame or have it powder coated?
Paint.
No place local (including myself ) that does powder.
I have a lot of stuff i would like to powder.
Cutting notches in lifters.*
Lifters done. Cam de-burred and chamfered.
I am thinking i will drill oil squirters in the 1.4 ratio rockers.
Researching spark plugs.
Gotta find something that fits the aftermarket heads, heat range, the modified chambers, and the ford coil.
This might be the one.
Now i gtta get back on the machine work on the heads.

Still ever so slow.
So busy with my girlie, with STEM Academy, choir, band, robotics club and the city theater guild. I have spent a lot of time with her hualing her around. Then helping her robotics team.
I gotta get focused back on my project and finish something.
I for one understand what your saying,,, I been working now and then on my trike build I too need to give my project a little more time as I would really like to get a ride on it this coming summer!! so
"here's hoping you find the time to finish your up"!!

Sorry folks.
I lost a few pics on photobucket. The phone app seemed to crash. Was endlessly uploading the same batch of pics over and over. I had to delete the whole upload to stop it. It was only one of the more recent batches of pics. Hopefully it all works like it should now.
Back on the oil pump.
Cut o ring grooves in the body and the face for a positive seal on the suction side.
Plugged the pump outlet.
Then moved the outlet over and out the face.
So now it looks like this inside the pump.
And this on the outside.
Oh holy crap what an awesome idea putting orings on the face and body!!!!
Crap, I should send ya a pump and have you cut the oring groves!
Just a guess, but are the body orings a 200 series and the face a 100 series oring?
And just a suggestion; I would use Buna 90 durometer and not 70 durometer due to the heat around the body of the pump. 70 durometer would probably be fine for the face.
Man o' man what a great idea though!!!!
Hmm, I have an extra pump and a buddy of mine that has a lathe. I might give that a shot...........If ya don't mind me using your idea brother.
