Well finally done it!

After months of debating whether to switch from my 2010 Limited to a Tri Glide, I did it.

Traded the Limited in on a 2014 Tri Glide Black Magic, set to pick it up next Saturday.

Hope I made the right call, but as Dirty Harry said A man's got to know his limitations.

The people at Bloomington Harley-Davidson (IN) are great to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Good for you! You will grow to love it! No more putting feet down, dumping it, the wind doesn't bother it and the best thing is ,its very stable. Get the lift kit from Dennis of T-Glide & Stuff. He is just over in Muncie,In.. That would be a nice ride from you.

you will enjoy and love it I've had mine (2011 tri-glide) for 5 weeks and wish i would of done it sooner its great riding 2 up with the wife.

You will be happy with it. I came from a 2006 Ultra to a 2014 triglide. Was very leery about it but now I am happy that I made the move. One fear I had on the Ultra was gravel roads. With the triglide, no hassle now. Still getting use to the steering of the beast but that is getting better with more riding. The little woman is happy with the new too. Thats a plus.

I responded to a motorcycle crash call last week. Saw an older gentleman (mid 60's) and his wife lay down their Goldwing. He like most of us was a little heavier then I bet he was when younger. It was a slow crash they were trying to make a "U" turn and he lost it when he had to stop while in the middle of the turn for traffic. They were from Alberta Can and they were here in the keys riding so I know they some miles under their belt. She had at least a spranged if not broke ankle, he had a bruised rib. As I was attending her until a ambulance arrived she stated that her husband just could not hold the bike up any more when they encountered a slow to stop unusual situation. I just in a whisper suggested to her that maybe they should consider maybe going to 3 wheels. She said she had been suggesting that for a few weeks. Hey we each have to know when it is time. 800 to 900 lb bike with a 150 lb passenger can be a handful even for the fit rider.

That's why I went to 3 and have not regretted it. So don't second guess why you are going to 3 wheels just get out and enjoy it.

Are you sure it is a 2014? Black Magic is a 2015 Color.

Yes you are correct it is a 2015 black magic, sorry about that, the wife loves it almost all of our riding is traveling so it should be great for touring.

Wont have much weather left this year but looking forward to a big trip in 2015.

The lift kit from DK Customs definately made a difference on my 2014 Tr-Glide. Highly recommend this mod.

Well, congratulations on the new ride, i'm sure you're going to love it,

As for a lift kit, I agree with the others, its a great add. I bought my lift kit from DK Custom Products before I actually received the bike here in the UK, all on the recommendations from the guys on here, and they were right, I bought the comfort lifts, and it certainly makes a big difference to the ride quality,and raises the rear end so as not to ground the tailpipes on some of our crap roads,

I also bought the DK Tank lifts at the same time, the 1 1/2 inch lift and raised the rear 3/8 inch, the seats much better now and I like the tank higher on my knees, also i get to see more of the engine, and easier to clean, the added bonus is less wind coming over the top of the tank. These are the best mods I've done on my TG , can't thank DK enough for their delivery, parts arriving before my TG ,

ps: remember to undo the wheel nuts before jacking the bike up, Don't ask,

Go for it
i am 72 years old and had no trouble wilh my full ultra.
I was in an industrail accident last year , and had to have brain surgery for a subdural hemitoma. recovery was remarkiable. I told my surgon that i was going to return to riding my ultra. he said that was fine, just don't ever drop your bike and hit your head or you may never get up again. My wife started on me to buy a Trike or no more riding with me.
So, bought a 2014 trike, did a screaming Eagle upgrade, air cleaner, tuner and V & H true duals. currently have 4000 miles since March. I should have done this long ago. What a great Bike. you will love it. takes a little while to get used to the steering and cornering, but once you do, there is no going back. Wish i had done this years ago. Loving it.
one quick point. Most new trike riders (me) tend to try to hard to steer it. just relax your grip and it will be fine.
