Can anybody suggest a good differential for a Honda VT750C shaft-drive trike conversion? It will be a custom build from the ground up.
Cutting, welding, and balancing are no problem. Cost is a huge factor.

Welcome to the site. I am not able to tell you which differential would be best but I can tell you that Motortrike.com offers a kit for about $7k US for your bike. Looking around just a tad, I did see a number of VL800 and VT750 trikes from the early to mid-2000s for UNDER $7K. It might be worth your time to consider how much you could get for your current bike trading it for a VL800, VN900 or VT750 trike... the differential is likely less than the price of a trike kit, if that helps.

I couldn't even raise $7,000 by selling myself on the street corner!
Keep in mind you will need to flip the axle upside down or you'll have 5 reverse gears and no forward. That said a mid 90s mustang rear will give you disc brakes and shouldn't be hard to find.Lots of info on the web if you do some searching.Btw I hear mosier is pretty reasonable about the axle shaft mods that will need to be done.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Its dog eat dog world and i'm wearing milkbone underwear.

Jaguar XJS is independant and available at your import and some domestic wrecking yards, maybe even Ebay.... gives you disc brakes also....
Hey Marc, that's great! A used Mustang axle shouldn't be hard to come by and the prices look reasonable. It's even got the right ratio!
Don't forget you have to cut the width also or you will have a 6 foot wide trike. Yikes! Talk about maneuverability !
and what's wrong selling yourself on the street My wife did it last week and came home with $30.50 . I said who gave you .50 cents she said all of them.
When I am gona fix something I will fix it. You don't have to bug me every 6 months.
