Thinking about putting a side car tire on front wheel.

I have a frankenstein conversion on my 2003 HD Vrod. The front tires wear out in less then 9,000 miles top. I tried them all. I now have an Avon tire on front it has only 4,500 miles and is showing wear. A Victory dealer in Austin told me he can fit a 19inch side car tire on the front for less than $80.00. BUT it is bias thread and low speed rated. There are other tires up to S rating for over $150.00. Its not the price I'm looking for its the FLAT thread. The Vrod has a 19inch wheel which limits the selection. Any ideas or suggestions. thanks for your replies.

Google search VRod wide triple trees. You will have sticker shock for the cost of what your asking for

Don't the Goldwing boys use space saver spares from the autos for rear tires? YES they do.
They are made for narrow rims ... like a cycles.

Actually I'd be happy to get 9K on my ZRX1200R front tire. I pay the price for performance!!

Hoping to get way more than 9K on my Dunlop Tri Glide front tire. At 5K it is not showing much wear.

I've owned four Gold Wing trikes, the stock tires wear out in short order. Most wing Trike owners switch to a bias ply rear sport touring tire and mount it in reverse ( as recommended by Michelin tire).
ive used both the Michelin Pilot Active and the Bridgstone Battle Ax. I prefer the Battle Ax.

If I don't get good service with the stock Dunlop on my TG I may give the Battle Ax bias ply tire a try.

Im at 29k + miles on a Dunlop MU85b 16 rear tire mounted in reverse. Should be around 32k when I take off the winter.

There is good feedback on both the Dunlop American Elite and the Michelin Commander II. Im leaning towards the Dunlop American for my next front tire with another rear tire mounted in reverse
