Thanks guy they both look like great options, now if i could get some donations lol, but that would take time. i'll keep working at saving up for it and looking at different options. i really like the idea of a scooter trike to start off with.
The Boss Hoss trikes are automatic and they are powered by a smallblock Chevy 350. Those things are the coolest. A little out of my price range but it gives ideas for what's possible. Good luck.
when life deals you a crappy hand, you can fold.....or you can play
Don't know how mobile you are, but we have several T.O.I. members who have special modified trikes. Sorry that you have SMA, no cure for that, but start with "Wheels" on this board for advice. He's a great guy and can probably give you some good info.
I'm pretty mobile i can walk pretty well, drive. i have disadvantages on every day life task. the reason i have to get a trike is i can not balance at all. i have been pretty lucky in my life and i am very happy with what i have. but for the longest time like i said i have wanted to ride a trike find one that's automatic and at a good price. i am not able to work do to my SMA. so that is where i have run in to allot of my problems with getting a trike. but i will defiantly check out "Wheels". every support i get with it is a great inspiration for me. i have just started to better my like i hit 367lbs due to my SMA i just haven't been able to do much i sit around mostly and very limited on activate, but not every day Monday through Friday, i am going to the gym and doing as much as i can do in the last 4 months i have lost 55 pounds. so that is one big reason i started the gofundme. i am going to do the best to lose weight and get in better shape with my SMA and i am saving as much as i can so when i hit my goal weight i can get me a trike and get out more and enjoy being out. i thank you all for the support and help you guys have gave me.
Mine is specially modified to accommodate my specific disability. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. Like was suggested, read threads, ask advice from others, ask questions and be patient.
Check out Peoria, IL - Craigslist - there is an automatic trike for sale in Pekin, IL.
