If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I remember back in ''73'' when gas was about 35 cents a Gal, And headed up to a dollar a Gal.. [Oil embargo] real fast, Everyone in the gas lines that would let a reporter stick a microphone in their face would say; ''If gas goes over a dollar a Gal. I'll sell my car'' And never drive again...
The reason I mention this is , ''IF'' the price of Gas happens to drop under a dollar a Gal..
Will those people start driving again, And crowd the roads,,????

P.s. the Gougers here went up to $1.919 yesterday. Maybe they too are aware of the issues you speak of and are trying to save the local population from Carmageddon...
Can you imagine the Carnage and Mayhem caused by hundreds of blue-hairs wearing Leisure Suits and jamming Zeppelin and Cream on 8 tracks driving 1972 Plymouth Fury III Land-Barges like Drivers Ed kids all over the place

Got fooled today, though when I went by a place that was $1.939 last Fri, all of a sudden was back to $1.999 today... Don't know what that was about.

I filled up my truck for $1.99 for regular on Friday morning. That afternoon my wife filled up at the same station for $2.10. Today it's still $2.10. Premium is $2.40. For gas prices, I'm glad I live where I live. We usually have pretty decent prices compared to the rest of the country. I know we are always below the national average. Don't have a clue why it's like that. I suppose transportation and things like that play a part in the disparity between areas of the country. I'm rural and where I live it's always lower than city prices too.
I use none ethanol in everything so it costs a bit more.
I do get much better fuel milage.
$2.099 for regular and $2.299 for high test

$2.02 here today at Wallyworld isn't it something when you start thinking thing are looking up just because gas is getting around the $2.00 mark?
I filled the motorhome 87 gallons for $1.80 a gallon in Festus, Missouri.
That is $156.60, a few months ago it would have cost me $214.02 @ $2.46 a gallon.

WOW, and I thought we had cheap gas @ $2.17 a gallon.
Hasn't gone below $2.00 yet, hopping it does, but I don't think we will make it.
