I am in the process within the first 26,000 miles on the Stallion of replacing for the fourth time the front wheel bearings and/or hubs. I learned from TMS today that a special tool is required and only available at the factory to separate the steel hub from the aluminum hub to replace the inner bearing as well as to perform normal maintenance, like repacking the bearings. I am having an authorized Motortrike shop do the latest work and he showed me that the inner right bearing/race appears to have spun in the aluminum. The small inner seal on the right was in shreds and the outer bearing, again only on the right side, showed signs of damage. The last time the bike was worked on was in May of 2013 and conducted at the factory where they replaced the down tubes along with several other parts, including, as I understand, the front bearings and seals.
I was wondering if anyone else was having recurring problems with the front bearing(s), seals and/or hubs?
Thank you for your assistance.
