New trike owner, Northwest Ohio

Hi,<br /><br />
I am a new owner of an old trike. Well its made of old parts. 1975 was the year my trikes power train came to be. I've been told it came out of a Porsche 914. I know for a fact they also put that engine in VW buses. I am into the biker lifestyle. I ride 9-10 months a year. My wife and I go to Daytona every year, I have also been out to Sturgis. <br /><br />
The reason for my new trike purchase is a utilitarian one. In Sep.09' I was on my way to school (Northwest State Community Collage) when I came upon a tractor putting down the road.<br />

As I pass this tractor, as I have dozens of times, the diver turned left.

No blinker, No hand signal, the guy didn't even look where he was going. He clipped me on the side and sent me into a phone pole. Well I showed that pole who's the boss! Life flight was nice enough to fly me to the hospital. A few weeks and a couple surgeries later here I am. I chose a trike because I don't want to buy myself a new Harley and drop it. I have an unusual taste in bikes. I like oldschool gaudy scoots with loud pipes ape hangers, and tall sissy bars.<br /><br />
What brought me to your forum was how hospitable you are to VW riders.

Welcome aboard White Wall. Nice trike. I bet that 914 motor really makes it hall the mail. We are a very friendly to all types of trikes. My problem is I do really love them all, so I would want one of each. Don't have that kind of money or room.
