Throttle rework

I need to convert from a foot throttle to a hand throttle. I am considering a Harley style twist throttle due to its return cable for safety. If anyone has attempted this I would love to hear about it. My biggest concern is the weight of the duel carb setup. Two carbs linked by a single rail. It is a moderately heavy pull.

White Wall I'm trying to think way back here, but I also believe that motor was used in a VW station wagon type with 2 carbs that were linked together on top of the motor with only one cable going to them from the drivers gas pedal. If you could find one of those you could make up a system like you are indicating. Also might want to consider a by wire setup, but that might be very expensive.

I agree a by wire system is gonna run a small fortune. I wish it were in my budget! Working with shoelaces here if you know what I mean. I peeked around some snowmobile throttles today. Still brainstorming!
