Will a Mustang rider backrest work on stock seat?

I haven't ridden a long ways yet but I do need a rider backrest. Will the Mustang #79610 fit the stock seat on a 13 TG?

Found a related post with this stock number. I ordered the backrest @ direct cycle parts. I can always return it if it doesn't fit.

That's the same one that I have on my 14.Works great and looks good.I preferred it over the HD model.

What seat do you have? I have a 2014TG with a Road Zepplin seat. I would like to get a back rest, but I don't want the more expensive adjustable one from Harley and none of the other back rests will fit the TG.

I would set it to my liking and be done with it. I don't know why it has to be adjustable - my back doesn't change.

GaryD, the HD parts books always say things won't fit the TriGlide. I am still using the manual adjusting back rest that I purchased for my '09 RoadGlide. I've used this on my '12 TriGlide and it's now on my '14 TriGlide. Different seats may require a different mounting position, I'm currently using it with my Road Zeppelin seat and no problems.

I received my Mustang backrest today and tried to install it. There were no included bolts in the package. The backrest mounting holes did not line up. A quick call to Mustang and Brian told me I needed a bracket 75030 to fit my 2013 Tri Glide.
Now why wasn't that explained on the web site?
$24 dollars later and the bracket is being shipped to me. Now I just need to find 2 1/4-20 bolts to fit the two back holes.

If anyone orders this backrest be aware of the bracket.

None of those rests say they fit a trike let alone any 2014 Harley. Or with a Road Zepplin seat.

I asked Postal Trucker the part number because he has the exact same setup as I.

GaryD #4 post in this thread verified that the backrest on that page (Mustang) worked on a trike. The only thing I needed to add to them is the bracket 75030 that I mentioned in my last post.
The page lists touring but not trike, you're correct. I called Mustang and was given the # for the bracket to fit the trike. Hope that helps some.

OK, just one question. Do you have the Road Zepplin seat? Since the seat has a lot to do with fitment. I would think if it fits the stock seat, it should fit the RZ seat since it has a bigger opening.

I have the stock seat on the 13 trike. Mustang says
"Works with Mustang or stock one-piece touring seat, not a solo."
If the RZ seat is or can be considered stock then you would be ok if not I would suggest calling them to find out. They knew immediately what I needed when I talked to them.
